Our friends at Freepress.net sent this shocking video along to us. According to a recent article in the NY Times, the so-called "objective" military pundits that have been appearing all over the mainstream media networks for the last few years were mere puppets of the Pentagon and Bush administration.

Beginning with the buildup to the Iraq War, the Bush administration created this "media Trojan horse" to counter any and all criticism. At times, they manipulated the networks' own military experts, spoon-feeding them talking points on everything from Iraq to Rumsfeld's handling of the war to Guantanamo. Here's a quote from the Times:

"Again and again, records show, the administration has enlisted analysts as a rapid reaction force to rebut what it viewed as critical news coverage, some of it by the networks’ own Pentagon correspondents. For example, when news articles revealed that troops in Iraq were dying because of inadequate body armor, a senior Pentagon official wrote to his colleagues: 'I think our analysts — properly armed — can push back in that arena.'"

This is pro-war propaganda at its most insidious. Make sure you take action: sign Free Press's petition and call on Congress to demand better media.

" Unbiased opinion " , who are you trying to fool when you hire direct connections to the Pentagon and you can google and find many of the propagandist (military analyst ) connections to the military industrial complex .
Here's a real simple test , have there been ANY military analyst that have been opposed to the invasion or opposed to the occupation of Iraq ?ZERO and CNN knows exactly what they are getting , a warm and fuzzy connection to info from the pentagon and when journalist ABE VREIS from Holland discovered CNN had hired PSYOPS as " interns" in the late 90's , it provided more proof of the collusion between the U.S. media and the military .

Halbution and KBR are running our military and the pentagon where do you think all those retired military officer go? Especially General. When Dick Chaney left his secretary defense job he took the pentagon with him. How do you think they get all those no bid contracts and no one does anything about it.

50 years ago, in his retirement speech, President Eisenhouer warned about the insidious danger posed by the military/industrial complex. Just as he warned, American democracy is now firmly in the grip of this evil cabal.

THIS COMBAT VETERAN WANTS TO KNOW WHY AMERICA IS NOT BURNING DOWN THE WHITE HOUSE?

I don't get it.

With ALL the shit that's gone down in the past 7.5 years under this drunken IMBECILE in the White House I really don't understand why Americans aren't really PISSED OFF and threatening to burn down the White House in protest.

NOW we find out all the retired military officers who gave their "opinions" (always pro war of course) were paid WHORES by the military industrial complex.

EVERY one of them should be dragged out into the streets kicking and screaming and publicly flogged.

WAKE UP AMERICA! How much more of this BULLSHIT are you going to take before you DO SOMETHING about it?

I believe that moat people do want to be informed, but they have been terrorized, threatened, and confused by the nonsensical drama government media has presented. Many could not conceive a traitorous media or governemnt. The most compelling fact is that we have been fed so much bullshit most have tuned out and do not partake. Hard to imagine our media as mass murderers of genocidal proportion but it is true.

I worked in TV news for years, beginning in 1980. The sort of practice described here is NORMAL. This is not an unusual thing at all, whether it's the pentagon or a pharmaceutical company, the "experts" on TV are almost ALWAYS nothing but paid spokesmen, i.e. lying whores.

I am surprised that people are surprised by this. TV news is WORSE THAN YOU THINK. Of course we all think it's bad, but I'm telling you it's worse than that! If you start looking at TV "experts" as paid spokesmen who have an agenda, what they say makes a lot more sense!

Since TV news sucks so bad, I've been doing some political comedy videos and posting them on you tube and other places. Go check them out and pass them around!

Two-Party Corporate Controll

Both of our current Two Political Parties are Both in on it! Proof: Do you hear ANY of these candidates, talking about Media Reform?

Yes, Edwards and Kucinich DID, and their gone! Coincidence??

The only REAL answer except resorting to the 'third box' (Soap, Ballot, & Ammo); IS MORE viable third, fourth and fifth Parties!I went to the Green Party, because they have a written party platform, with Media Reform, Single-Payer HealthCARE (not Insurance), Instant Run-Off Election, and a lot MORE! They have 85 members holding elected offices NOW, and 1000 running! The Green Party doesn't take Corporate Donations, so every little bit helps! Check it Out!

Nearly every day we get the news about yet another breach of integrity, another war crime, another situation where the white house refuses to co-operate with investigators, another report of corruption at the highest levels and another assurance that this government doesn't give a rat's ass about our men and women in uniform and least of all the american people.

Bush's ratings are in the toilet, most of his staff has been disgraced and yet it doesn't seem to slow him down one little bit. The war rages on, people continue to be tortured and murdered for crimes they didn't commit and congress can do no better than issue symbolic action to thwart his agenda.

In saner times Bush would have been reduced to "lame duck" status and we would have shut him down like they did with Clinton after the Monica Lewinsky thing. But not this guy. If this isn't enough to convince voters of the absolute evil that is the republican party I can't imagine what could.

I Remember When We Had Job Training Programs

today our job training program is called the military. We don't fund any programs to ensure that low wage or middle income kids have a hand up, without risking their lives.
