Pro-Israel groups have given about $57 million to federal candidates and political party committees since 1990, making them one of the most influential lobbies in D.C. In this Frontline USA special, Avi Lewis offers a fascinating inside look at the Israel lobby and its affects on Capitol Hill. This show tackles the issues behind the Israeli-Palestinian conflict; whether Bush will see the creation of a Palestinian state before his term is up; why all three presidential hopefuls support Israel; and how media coverage of news from the Middle East is biased (hint, Wolf Blitzer was once a pro-Israeli lobbyist!).

Part 2 of this special can be seen at Brave New Films.

Interesting video. I'm surprised that Alternet does not publish more things on Israeli/Palestinian topics...Or should I be?
