In campaign 2008, according to the Onion, the big issues won't be health care, Iraq, and the economy. It'll be straight up bullshit, like the candidates' relationships with their current or ex spouses, what their religion is or if they're patriotic enough. Why is that the Onion is so much more perceptive and accurate than the real news? Now that's sad. Check out the video to your right for more.

I haven't laughed so hard in a while!

If regular news was more honest, they would have reports JUST like that. Go Onion!

but this was a classic! Totally on the mark and so true that it's almost sad.

Analogous to the jester in the middle ages...he was the only one who dared to speak the truth.

...were not so true.

If anyone here thinks that Clinton or Obama have a real chance to win in the end then you are having Bullshit dreams.

In my mind their is not a hairs different between their bullshit. In fact their bullshit is their substance.

All the real progressive candidates have been minimized and/or marginalized, like Kuchinich, Edwards. Sad commentary on this party and country.

That is why I am voting for a third party candidate for first time in my life unless one of these two bozos can convince me that they are true progressives. Hell will sooner freeze over I am sure.

Amusing Ourselves to Depth
Is The Onion our most intelligent newspaper?

The Onion is one of the few newspapers actually growing these days. This analysis says it’s not just because people are so frivolous, but that mainstream newspapers are too caught up in their objective posturing to remain overly relevant. We get our opinions elsewhere these days. What does it mean when fake news clues you in better than real news?
