Letterman's been on a roll lately in my opinion. I caught this last night and it really cheered me up. I'd been watching CSPAN's election coverage and was disturbed by someone who called in insisting that Obama was Muslim and would be sworn in on a Koran, should he win the presidency. When the CSPAN host calmly explained that Obama IS NOT MUSLIM, the caller ignorantly kept saying, "Well, that's what I heard, and it was on the television." I was so traumatized, I flipped over to Letterman and caught him hilariously riffing on John McCain's out-of-touch, creepy, old ass and I was able to sleep without nightmares...check out the video to your right for more.

This video, like many that AlterNet has posted recently, does not play. What is the problem these days with AlterNet's ability to post a video and have it functioning stright out of the box? What in the world could be so hard about that?

but I don't see anything funny about a funny looking old guy telling jokes about a funny looking old guy.

I guess I don't have a sense of humor or something but it just seems like this kind of mean-spirited "humor" merely opens the door for more of the same from the republicans.

Making fun of someone because of their age and their looks just doesn't seem like fair play. There's enough to deride McCain about without resorting to this kind of thing, but of course that would be outside the scope of the Letterman show...

I hit refresh, then clicked on the top area of the video, NOT where it says click to play video. That worked this time and has worked before. But it is still frustrating when the videos don't play easily.

........is something I would dislike if it were done to a Democrat. But because Bush was not elected in 2000 by dint of Refucklican cheating, I feel that anything is fair against them. Fire away, DL, the nastier the better. It might make a small difference.

After that repug meeting where Hillary was called a bitch and McCain laughed and laughed and laughed, I don't care what comedian rips him a new one, he deserves it. So long as Barack doesn't do it, that is A-OK with me.

Anyone that has read my posts knows I am supporting Barack, but that doesn't mean it is ok for one candidate to encourage that sort of anti-social hateful behavior towards another, very uncool, very disturbing.

But how could the talk show hosts resist, McCain offers so darm much good material. Most of it stingingly true, and we deserve to laugh. God knows we usually have enough to cry over.

He's the guy who says "What the dang blasted heck is wrong with these newfangled moving picture shows on Alternet? Cain't get 'em to work right...Prob'ly one of them cheap, foreign-made ones."

Good stuff. The "idiot son" one topped it off nicely.

For those who can't get it to work, I could only find the second part on YouTube. Hurry before Viacom or somebody gets to it:

I had a discussion with a fellow Democrat. She said, "We can't stoop to their level." Well Kerry didn't, and we all know what happened. I am in favor of ANYTHING that will ensure that we don't get 4 more years of ANY Republican. And I do mean anything.

Your friendly neighborhood patriot - Ron Paul (or Nader) 2008

Obama is a mouthpiece for the CFR. Most likely caught up in, lost in, or both, in the crossfire of all this massive, bureaucractic nightmare that is the US government/media/corporations today. Many, (NOT all), of our politicians can and are bought routinely bought out for special interests. Obama says "change" allot thus proving his inexperience or will to tackle some of Americas REAL problems. He is no different than the other rich, elitist, fake leaders America continues to put up with.

oh yea, realize this fact too
Coke Bush

The revolution is on. Wake up to what has been and is still going on with our American mainstream media. These globalist, neocon-type media faces like O'Rielly, Hannity, Kristol, and yes even Obama are all in bed with AIPAC, the U.N., overthrowing governements with the CIA, etc. and pretty much dominate American TV. They are all being mislead themselves or are part of it now aren't they?

McCain is one of the WORST puppets out there!!! His top four contributors, (like most candidates), are... BANKS!

R E S E A R C H

Ron Paul’s military contributions are greater than those of all other current candidates – John McCain, Mike Huckabee, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama –combined.

The “Top Contributors” figures can be found at www.opensecrets.org.

JOIN the rEVOLution to restore America people.

IT IS DUTY.

When big media blocks Ron Paul out, it blocks YOU (and all your kids and family) out.

Why do you think they spew so much about "terrorists"?

Starting to get the picture now?
