Air America's Sam Seder interviews Republicans on the campaign trail to see just how passionate they really are about the '08 contenders. He learns something very interesting, whether they currently support Giuliani, Romney, Huckabee or McCain they all like Ronald Reagan much, much better. As Seder points out, "He's dead, he was a little more than a little racist and he was a corporate shill," but Republicans still like him a whole lot better than this '08 crowd. Check out the video to your right for more.

If you switched "JFK" for "Ronald Reagan" and "Democrat" for "Republican", can't you picture this same clip on Fox News?

Of course the Republicans would rather vote for their most popular President ever. This video is completely pointless and the same hypocritical one sided nonsense that Bill O et al love to run for the other side.

Reagan - the biggest loser until W

If I were religious, I would pray for the day when the imbecilic cult of Reagan finally withers and reality comes back into acknowledgment in the country. Reality: He accelerated the hideous decline in public discourse that Nixon initiated. He brought in the biggest tax hike in our nation's history - yes, Reagan did, Mr. "Government is the Problem," but then, all these Repos who are against big government bloat it bigger and spend more than Democrats ever dreamed of doing. Reagan was the worst thing that ever happened to us, yes, even worse than W, because he made W possible. Reagan was John the Baptist to W's Antichrist.

But the study of history, the ability to analyze the political landscape, the very ability to even see and comprehend reality, is lost among us. And Reagan, Mr. "catsup is a vegetable" and "trees cause pollution", helped make that happen. The Teflon President, the Griddle God, the Biggest Zero who was somehow turned into the Biggest Hero.

It's things like the worship of that old fart that make me despair.

Gore Vidal called Reagan "the greatest triumph of the embalmer's art".

This cult of Ronnie is simply beyond me. I was 25 in 1980 when he got elected, and believe me people it has been friggin' downhill for this country since then.

Ronald Reagan was a terrible President. The former SAG President turned union buster when he FIRED all of the striking Air Traffic Controllers and look where we are at now. He started giving the corporations the largest tax cuts in history, started the biggest military build up, and started decimating the middle class. When will Americans wake up to the fact that these "silver spooners" don't give a shit about any one but themselves and their money.

Who says the current rouge's gallery of rethug "candidates are alive, at least in the intellectual realm? Ronnie Baby was intellectually dead long before he assumed room temperature. One of his own staff members described him as "dumb as a stump". So, these presidental wannabes want to follow in Ronnie's doddering footsteps, do they?. I don't know what's worse, the possibility that any or all of these fools actually believe that the reagan years were good for our country, or that that they think they can convince us that more reaganomics, foreign, and domestic policy FUBARS are what we need.

As I was watching this video, I was thinking "Why didn't Sam ask any Ron Paul supporters that question--I'll bet he would get a different answer."

Then finally, he did!
And got the answer I expected. Paul's supporters are passionate about him because he is the right man for the job!

Ron Paul, Ron Paul, Ron Paul 2008!!!

(Sorry about that, but as a Ron Paul backer, I'm required to say his name at least 20 times a day, and I had to meet my quota).

RONALD REAGAN WOULD HAVE BEEN SHOT AT SUNRISE

if he had not been protected by the power of the presidency. Ronald Reagan, through the dying Bill Casey,(and most likely Daddy Bush) dealt with the Khomeini in Iran to keep the hostages until after the election. This is not a guess, this is not a conspiracy theory, this is historical fact. If you or I had done this we would have been shot at sunrise. Treason is a death penalty offense.

Lets see if we can frame this in the present. What if anyone of the democratic candidates sent one of their campaign workers for a secret meeting with Al Quaida or Osama bin Laden and offered a deal. You keep killing people until after election day and you will get a better deal from me than you will get from the current government. If Hillary were to cut that kind of deal with a foreign leader the republicans would really try to have her executed. But Ronald Reagan did make that kind of deal and got away with it. Read "The October Surprise" by Gary Sick and see if you can successfully disbelieve it.

Do you know why Ronald Reagan will never be put up on Mt. Rushmore? No. Why? There isn't enough space for both of his faces.

Real Gone was a Union Buster
Most of the problems we face today are the results of his terrible administration.
But the power of The Faux Media has turned him into a Saint in a lot of ignorant people’s minds.
The Pigs wallowed in the trough and loved it!
It's obvious to me
McPain and all the other Reptilian candidates are living in the past.
Fossils!
Just like the Reptilian Party.
Except for Ron Paul.
All they do is repeat the Democratic Platform!
Which is mostly taken from
The New Positive Progressive Agenda.
The Reptilians are Dinosaurs frozen in time.
Curious antiquities carved in stone.
The New Age has begun.
Peace, Prosperity, Health care, Green Technology, healthy Organic foods and a completely locally owned Media is possible now.
With a little cooperation and hard work we can do it.
A free completely decentralized Democratic system is the natural progression.
The abusive, self destructive Corpirate age is at an end.
The Titanic is sinking!
Good riddance Dead Eye and The Shrub.
We must learn how to walk all over again
On our own!
Without Big Brother's interference.

There is a brave new world out there.
Let’s take the best of what we are and create it.
The future is yours!
Take it.
