At how they had the one fellow pushing McCain in September, and then Romney in January.

Why does a candidate poll well?

I would argue it all starts and ends with TV coverage.

The higher the
quantity of coverage,
quality of coverage, and
tone (positive or negative) of coverage
all add up to give us the public opinion polls we have for our Presidential candidates.


The companies behind the television stations know this themselves, that is why they give preference to some candidates over others in their coverage of them.

Should it really be any shock then that Fox News would deliberately plant people in their focus group to push a particular candidate?


It is no less disgusting though and I would encourage all of us to refer our Fox News viewing friends and family to this video, so they can see for themselves with their own 2 eyes the outright manipulative practices Fox News will go to to get the guy they want elected.

A boycott of News Corp, the parent company of Fox, will only work if the people who watch it most realize their news station is attempting to manipulate them and they join the boycott.

Get the word out about this fraud.

Isn't Rupert Murdoch NOT even an American Citizen and didn't he have to get some kind of FCC Waiver to own both the NY Post and Fox News ?

Suprise Suprise, Murdoch is influencing elections! He has been doing that for years and years, in his very early years in Oz, later in the UK, and now in the good ol us of a! And as long as he gets away with it he will continue to do so. He sees himself as a king maker, and has always manipulated his media(?) outlets to suit his own ends, Fox "news" is rubbish, it is Murdoch's crusade.
The best things I've seen seen concerning Fox this week has been Hannity being chased down the street by chanting and banner waving Paul supporters, protected by a plastic blonde, and o'really snivelling and whinging about a camera shot! I just don't understand why o'really wasn't tased like others (eg Reverend Yearwood) have been when manhandling security operatives, Now that would be news!

I tried for months on end to get into a Luntz focus group, ones that asked for both conservatives and liberals up front, but every time I filled out the pre-FG survey with my liberal inclinations, I was always shot down. At least 200 times before I gave up.

Then I finally got onto a corporate FG about "toxins in personal care products." The focus group was a total joke. I sat and there truthfully talked about how I research the products I use and rely on information from the likes of Environmental Working Group, etc. to inform myself or potential toxins. Once they saw I knew my stuff, they stopped calling on me and tried to bully the other women in the group about how there aren't any toxins and all the info out there is totally overblown. I just sat there in shock. It wasn't a focus group at all, it was just corporate facism. Luntz should be in jail.

Focus groups? No PROPER focus group would contain more than 6-8 people. This is one of the poorest designed high profile research exercises I've seen.

and the people who follow that cult can not be swayed from it. they are brain washed , "fair and balanced" "no spin zone" they believe that crap most of them that still watch and believe its a real news station and not a rightwing corporate news station

they have this talk show called phil henry show and all his callers are not only off the wall crazy but have the same voice, i listened to it for months and each guest called was there to get the other callers riled up, but the guest caller always sounded like the same man trying to sound like he had an accent, even a middle eastern accent one day it was totally unbelievable if i hadnt heard it with my own ears

Fox is disgraceful. Can't trust anything they say. They are so obviously biased. Their commentators are so rude and hateful. If you watched Fox exclusively, you would lose all faith in mankind, and would believe that compassion and charity were things of the distant past. They should recruit Chris Matthews. He would fit right in.
