Someone convince me that the vote I am about to make on January 29th needs to stay with Kucinich as much as I love everything he stands for I think I need to go to Edwards.

I want to vote my heart and vote for Kucinich. BUT the media has already prepicked the top three candidates. The small 1% that Kucinich is gettting will not change the world.

AND, even with Kucinich's endorsement I think I need to go to Edwards camp. Someone convince me that Obama should be the better choice.

Edwards promises me no more lobbyists and special interests and I do think he takes it personally. We need to start by getting rid of the monied interests and then tackle all the other issues. I am not sure I hear Obama telling me that as clearly as Edwards is.

Someone help tell me why I should not vote my head versus my heart because as a last gasp effort this vote needs to go to the person who CAN win and WILL change the world

he has every right to be upset about being excluded--i'm an obama supporter but still think that's questionable--but i do not think he's right about all of the candidates standing for status quo. i think obama represents change for the people.

I called the number and the person who answered, a woman, asked who I was. I said my real name and politely asked if she was the ABC media liason. She would not give her name nor identify herself as affiliated with ABC. I said politely that I was interested in knowing why Dennis Kucinich was excluded from the debate. She said it was a private number and said to call ABC. Then she hung up, rudely.

Maybe more calls to that number would send a message about excluding our progressive voice in the form of DK.

Hey, sorry if that headline was really spammy, but I'm not sure how to go about the message I'm sending otherwise and I didn't want to come off as trying to be tricky. Here's my pitch:

I think that what ABC has done to Dennis Kucinich, Mike Gravel and Duncan Hunter is pretty much an outrage, keeping them out of their televised debates. Corporate controlled media has no right to decide who the valid contenders are with ten months to go before the final elections. It is a network that is robbing Americans of our right to make an informed decision about who our leader should be. Any way you want to spin it, it's just wrong.

in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"? Randle McMurphy (Nicholson) knew he couldn't lift it- he turned beet red and really did the act- and failed to budge it. But then he looked at everybody and said somethig like "G*******t, I TRIED!" As a result, the big Indian, who was really strong enough, but didn't believe he was, picked the thing up and threw it out the window and escaped the asylum in the end.

I don't know for sure yet who I'll vote for. Where I live, it's so redneck conservative that voting for a Democrat probably won't change anything anyway electorally. So I might as well vote my principles, for Dennis Kucinich- and if there were enough of us who did the same, he could/would win.

ABC has made a really stupid mistake, and thank Whoever that Dennis is making noise about it. So what if he doesn't win? So what if he can't win?

Suppose you were playing in a football game, would you abandon your team and switch to the other one, just because the old has-been sports announcers up in the TV booth said it was all over for your side, and the other team would "definitely" win?
No. You would still play as hard as you can, win or lose.

And sometimes the predictors are wrong. Who knows?
Even if Kucinich can't or doesn't win, the numbers of votes he get will still mean something.
Is he the best candidate or not? That is the deeper question we should ask, not "whether he can win." He's up against a really crooked system (which of course clearly includes ABC). So maybe he can't win.

But I'm tired of settling for second, third, fourth, fifth best, because of the "Great God Electability".

If enough people would vote for him, he could win.

We're all brainwashed by the very MSM we bitch about, which tells us Kucinich hasn't a chance. Who are they to tell us? It's not impossible for Kucinich to win until the election is over. Let's not give up already.

There are many questions right now about "who to vote for?" in both parties. "I don't want to waste my vote" is heard a lot. How can any vote ever be wasted? What has happened is we have let the media take control as much as corporate America has taken control over who we put in office. Because Kucinich has not raised the huge amounts of money and is not in the position to buy his way "in", he is ignored except by those of us who really pay attention.

In the past months have any of you taken those "exams" that come in your e-mail where you are asked questions as to where you are on the issues? Everything from global warming, education, health care, the wars, taxes, etc? When you are done the results are "tallied" and you are matched up with a candidate that most fits your own political leanings. The first time I took "the test" I was dumbfounded to find that I matched perfectly with Dennis. Dumbfounded because I knew so little about him that he never hit my radar screen. The candidate of choice before that was Edwards and he came in third place! I then started really paying attention to Kucinich and I definitely am supporting him not only at the polls but out of my pocket too.

What right does any of the media and I include Fox Noise who should most definitely not excluded Ron Paul from their "Noise Event", have in keeping us from hearing all they have to say?

Dennis is helping Americans understand how big media is in this country. He is helping Ron Paul. Ron Paul has a chance. Ron Paul is honest and has the support of America and all Military forces. the number for ABC tv news, headquartered in NYC is 212 456-2700. I tried to talk to someone responsible for programming decisions, but could not get past the gatekeeper. She also refused to give me the name of anyone in that position and when I insisted that this was public information, she promptly hung up on me. I suggest others try

Dennis Kucinich has tonacity and will work for the people and not for the establishment!
He knows why we went into Iraq, and he knows he has put his life on the line to represent the people and the Constitution.
You know what happened to JFK and why he was assassinated. He went against the Establishment and that is what Dennis is doing.
We know that Bush went to Iraq, was for the oil and also Saddam was going to switch from the US dollar (Petro $) to the Euro Dollar and that is the main reason for the invasion. Iran and Venezuela want to make that change and that is why you hear all the war mongering about those countries.
If they make the change to Euro Dollars, Our USD will take a big shit and our economy will fall and we will be in a world of hurt.
Well the elite and wealthy will take a big hit in their pocket. So that is why we stay in Iraq, so Corporate America can continue to rape our treasury.
None of the Candidates mention this and they just want to keep the war going and keep the threat against Iran so they don't switch to the Euro Dollars and kill our economy.

Dennis is a threat to all this and they don't want him in the race. If he should win and do the things he says he will do, the establishment will be scurring around trying to keep their wealth intact. They don't want that kind of change.
I really am concerned about his safety, as JFK was taken out when he threatened their security and was going to shut down the CIA and make changes.
I hope Dennis knows what he is doing when he opens this big can of worms.

I didn't watch the debate. Couldn't see the point as I've heard it all before. Without DK's voice it's just all sort of blah, blah, blah. Kucinich stands for everything I want for America right down the line. I've been listening hard and will NOT vote for either Obama or Clinton. Edwards. . .I like him. He's saying all the right stuff. I get the feeling he's paying attention to Kucinich! Why is Dennis Kucinich "unelectable"? What in the hell are we all so damned afraid of?

Westin told an audience at the Kennedy School Forum Monday night (Oct. 25) that an "explosion of opinions" on the airwaves is beginning to "drown out reporting of the facts."
And it is the reporting of the facts, Westin explained, that is television news' most overriding obligation to its viewers. "If we follow others in this rush to opinion journalism, I fear we could become irrelevant to our audiences, and that, indeed, would lead to our becoming obsolete," he stated.
Westin has served as president of ABC News since 1997, during a time of enormous change in the industry.

Expressing opinion at the expense of expressing the facts, Westin said, can confuse viewers who might not be able to discern the difference, and thereby undermine the credibility of the medium as a whole.
"The 2000 election was an unqualified embarrassment for all the networks, every one of them," he claimed. "I was frankly appalled at the quality of our processes. ... We have reformed those fundamentally. ... I can promise you that we are going to be quite conservative this time and we're going to be very careful about it."

I supported Kucinich in the last elections and I continue to support him today despite the risk of his being assassinated when he is elected. He is a truly liberal Democrat without any neocon ties or obligations to corporations.

I hate telling people that I am a Democrat any more because the Democratic party has let me down so long. Kucinich is the only candidate who has ever come close to embracing the same beliefs and moral values that I embrace. He is the only candidate that I sincerely feel I can trust -- in all the years that I've been able to vote.

Does anyone have a list of companies who ran ads during the debate? I would like to be sure I am not buying any of their products.

Here's my thought: ABC won't listen to us, but they will listen to their advertisers. Let's stop buying their products until THEY tell ABC to get it right for a change.

I would also like to stop watching ABC, but I don't watch commercial television anymore, so it's a moot point.

I hope some kindred spirits here might join me in saying no to ABC and their advertisers.

As a Democrat in the state of California, I am casting my vote for Mr Kucinich.
Yes, the problems we are facing relating to all potential voices being heard are to laid at the feet of the MSM. However, contacting the DLC, (the fictional,'centrist', ahem, wing of the Democratic Party)would be a good thing to consider doing. These misguided folks need to hear from you. Mr Rahm Emanuel needs to hear from you,if he is still head of that organization, especially those of you who consider yourselves progressives. Work the system!!! Call the MSM out on their collective BS! Yes, we have a democratic majority in the house and a slender one in the senate. But Mr Emanuel also saw to it that progressive, grassroots' supported candidates where taken out (not funded) and so-called Blue Dog Dems were in and they were elected and hence part of the problem of spinelessness in the halls of Congress at present. A functioning democratic republic requires your particpation, not just whinning and hand ringing. And yeah, it's a bitch...
I am voting for Mr Kucinich in the primary here in CA. I will vote for Mr Edwards if Mr Kucinich doesn't get the nod at the Dem convention.
