Danny Glover on Poverty in America and Why He's Endorsed John Edwards [VIDEO]

Oprah may be more high profile, but actor Danny Glover has more progressive activist credentials, and it turns out he's throwing his considerable charisma behind the candidacy of John Edwards in the 2008 election. On The Tavis Smiley Show, Glover says, "we see the manifestations of New Orleans in every single major city in this country and nobody is talking about that." While he sees the appeal for historic reasons for nominating Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton, he believes Edwards has been more substantive. Check out the video to your right for more.
