Bill Maher gets to heart of the hypocrisy and absurdity in this country when it comes to the lack of outrage over the Plame leak. If it had been James Carville outing a CIA officer, Maher says, "Ann Coulter's head would have exploded." In the video to your right, Maher conducts a much more respectful interview than Katie Couric did on 60 Minutes, with Valerie Plame Wilson and Joe Wilson where they discuss her new book Fair Game. They also talk about the seriousness and deepness of her covert activities, their disgust with the Bush Administration and their civil suit against Cheney and others. Check out the video to your right for more.

I just watched Bill Maher. One of his better shows and he did a good job with Valerie Plame Wilson and Joe Wilson. They are definitely well spoken individuals. I'm surprised there hasn't been more outrage about what happened to Valerie and I do believe it is because the media isn't willing to give it air time. We need to take back our Country.

It is truly hard to understand why, in the face of everything this administration (Bush) has done to undermine our security, destroy our Constitution, and take away our Civil Liberties, that the Democratic congress is still unwilling to IMPEACH CHENEY AND BUSH. I think the Democrats in Washington do need to recognize that their 'base' does expect them to do something. Pelosi says that IMPEACHMENT is off the table because it won't go anywhere. Their 'base' is tired of them not trying because they might not win. This administration is corrupt to the core and for the Democrats not to recognize that and take action will not be helpful to them. There are simply too many democrats who worked too hard to get people elected and are not happy with the 'inaction' on the part of those who should be able to at least begin the IMPEACHMENT process. What are you waiting for Nancy? Congress should be able to walk and chew gum so why not give Conyers the green light. You do realize that the democrats gained a majority because of the position of people like Conyers, not because of anything you did!

When did the land of the free and home of the brave turn into "Monkey see, Monkey do"?

Why is it that even the self identified "Edge" reporters have just towed the line and kept their mouths clamped tightly shut regarding such things.

Any Real democratic society would not have tolerated such "Treason", "Torture" and blatant "Murder" in plain sight for so many years.

Why did they wait until it is now seen as "Popular" to actually speak out against Atrocity that these who are the guardians of "Free Speech" suddenly seemed to have found their tongues???

no more awaiting facts

At the time of the Plame “outing” I found myself wondering if Plame was a Democrat inside the CIA who had hired her husband (nepotism) for a project with preconceived results designed to misleadingly reflect poorly on the administration?

As I think back over that period, I am reminded that skilled manipulators are very conscious of the power in the sequence and timing that bits of controlled information flow are provided. I am suggesting today that the reason I initially withheld judgment while I awaited more information was the sense that there was more to the story than we were getting - and additional information could tarnish or condemn Plame and/or Wilson. (We now know additional information condemns the administration, which now has become a reasonable, routine presumption.) It dragged out until long after the innate power of the story to impact and move a people had passed before the facts finally and clearly pointed the finger in the right direction. Now that I have more information (still not the whole story!), I am as outraged as Bill Maher and all the other rear view mirror – hind-sighted analyzers. Long before the Libby conviction, my willingness to await all the facts in breaking news stories of this ilk reached burnout – my presumptions today are “here we go again,” an un-intellectual reaction I hope to re-civilize for the incoming Democratic president.

Plame and Wilson have demonstrated personae that indicate they are above average Americans with high personal and political standards – while the administration continues to sink into a swamp of outrageous, seamy, traitorous scandals.

Also on the Maher show last night, there was a segment on Blackwater in which the point was again, tellingly made that Bush has dismantled our Government: he has wrecked EPA, Justice, Commerce (Food & Drug), Defense, State, (is anyone even knowledgeable enough to complete this list?).

Like Merle Haggard, I believe I am fortunate to have lived in the great era of the American experiment – even though we are at the very end of it.

the trial is over, the pardon granted, serious harm can no longer come to perps by failing to keep the lid on, no impeachment to defend, etc. etc. etc.

Who is committing treason?

How many of you know of the Bilderberg Group? Not many I bet. Don't feel bad hardly anyone knows about them, but I can't imagine that Valarie Plame would be ignorant of them.

Every year approximately 120 of the world's most powerful leaders in industry, bankers, leaders and insiders meet in secret to plan who will be elected here or rule there and which wars will be started and so forth. Hillary Clinton attended last year. Bill attended the year before he was "elected".

This country hasn't been a democratic/republic for a long time. At best we're a plutocracy. Our elections are a farce. Long drawn-out dog & pony shows giving the people the illusion they have some say in policy. What a joke. If we had fair, uncorrupted elections we'd have National Health Care, schools that actually educate, less crime, more jobs, no wars, streets that are safe to walk and drive down and a host of other commonsense policies that benefit the whole.

Know this, the world is nearly completely controlled by a small group of super-powerful elite that are for the most part pathological sociopaths that are leading our species to oblivion.

So, yes, treason was committed against Valarie Plame, but is it treason that she won't expose the true nature of the power elites?

I think introducing into the mainstream media the idea that central figures in the Whitehouse have been guilty of "treason" is important.

Joe Wilson and his wife Valerie Plame are not just anybody. They represent important and powerful people in the United States that are deeply concerned about the direction Bush is taking the country. Basically he's taking it over the edge of a cliff! Bush'es policies and "strategy", this whole "war on terror" nonsense, are incredibly harmful to US longterm interests. They are running the country into the ground and may well start a conflict that will simply suck the life out of the nation, if Bush isn't stopped soon.

Thoughtful and intelligent people of all political persusions and deep withing the ruling class understand and are appalled by what's happening. The problem is, how does one remove such a dangerous man from office without people noticing he's actually been removed?

For those who know the whole story, Wilson was found to be a strong liar.
And yes it was his wife who sent him on the fact finding mission, and he spent most of his time at the hotel pool.

Stay the course or IMPEACHMENT

The ONLY politician really working for Impeachment is Dennis Kucinich. When this topic was being discussed here earlier, there was no mention of his efforts in any specific area, not even what he is trying to do TODAY in Congress to Impeach Cheney! We are not going to see Impeachment happen, and we are not going to see DK become President. Even though Dennis Kucinich IS THE ONLY CANDIDATE that will put the American People above Corporate America, because the American public - the voters, refuse to support him. He is ignored by the corporate media in this country and therefore he is disallowed credibility.

No matter how bad things may get, it is WE, collectively, who we will ensure that BIG business, the conglomorates, continue to gain for themselves and smother life from all but the few at the top of their chain. "God Bless America" is their chant, and we follow their lead, pant -panting, like obedient dogs.

It sickens me to read these posts and only see a few mention Dennis Kucinich's name. It's not enough! His name is almost never in print media or on TV or radio. I want to be hopeful, but the '08 elections are fast coming to our doorstep and it is easy to see the media directing the traffic to the polls and to the voting booths, because they know they can make Hillary Clinton or Rudy the Ghoul, America's next leader. Think it's bad now? Watch out, because the ball is rolling and it's gathering momentum. When it comes to a stop - you and I will be lost beneath the weight of destruction to our Constitution, our environment, our jobs and the loss of National and personal security. Hey, we're almost there now!

Support presidental candidate Dennis Kucinich, AND if you don't know much about him, learn more so that you will know why you should make him our President. Ecourage others - post his name all over the internet. The media won't cooperate because a President Kucinich would not owe them or "others" favors! It is up to us to elect Kucinich or prepare to vacate hope in the America our Constitution guarantees.

AMERICANS FOR HONEST GOVERNMENT
3406 MAITLAND-SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS 78259
FAX: 210-481-9725 PHONE: 210-481-9725
NOV. 6THth, 2007
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ACTION YOU MUST TAKE, PASS THIS ON, GET THE WORD OUT. THE FUTURE OF OUR COUNTRY DEPENDS ON YOU.
A TREASONOUS OFFENSE
The oaths of office is a statement of loyalty to our constitution as well as an oath to the state constitution that the office holder will be serving, which The President and every member of the United States Congress takes. It is often considered a treasonous or highly illegal offense to betray one’s oath of office.
We the people must reclaim our constitution and the rule of law. At the present we have elected official that betray our trust and voted for legislations that are not in the best interest of the American People and in violation of our constitution and the rule of law. Now some of these politicians are running for the highest office of the United States, they want to be our President.
These people get elected by persuading the American people that they are upright, patriotic, God-fearing people. How can they be God-fearing if they break a promise made before God –if they can commit “a crime against God”– and think nothing of it? How can they be a patriot if –by violating their oath of office– they indifferently commit a treasonous act? How can they be upright if their promises mean nothing?
The most important issues in our country today are:
1- ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION AND BORDER SECURITY
2- TRADE POLICIES-NAFTA AND THE SPP.
3- IRAQ WAR AND THE MIDLE-EAST FOREIGN POLICY
All other issues we can deal with and will not destroy our country as these issues will. Illegal Immigration, NAFTA and the Iraq war will bankrupt our country. Today our National Deb is 10.7 Trillions Dollars.
We have the responsibility to choose the candidate that will restore the rule of law, reclaim our constitution and enforce our sovereign rights. We must vote for Ron Paul, check his voting record, he value our constitution and the rule of law. Ron Paul is a long time U.S. Representative from Texas with a strong constitutionalist and libertarian his voting record is for opposition to tax increases and spending bills. He has chastened his fellow Republicans for abandoning the party's ideals, and for helping to create an unsustainable national debt now in the trillions of dollars, he is against illegal immigration and lists a six-point plan to enforce the immigration laws. Ron Paul seeks to "reinstate the Constitution and restore the Republic and the rule of law.

NO MATTER WHAT POLITICAL PARTY YOU BELONG TO, WE ALL MUST VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE THAT WILL RECLAIM OUR CONSTITUTION, OUR SOVEREIGN AND THE RULE OF LAW.
VOTE FOR RON PAUL www.ronpaul2008.com
