On Tuesday's Countdown, Keith Olbermann looks once again at proof that the world's last remaining superpower is being run by a petulant child prone to temper tantrums when he doesn't get his way.

My buddy Bill reminded me when he sent the videos of this comment he made in the threads yesterday:

Despite all of the constant bashing of this Congress [not just from Bush but from the left as well] this has been the hardest working Congress in US history despite the Republicans blocking 3 times more bills than ever before including the 8 times the GOP has blocked the Democrats efforts to end the war so far.

Which is all well and good, but right now, I think we have someone who needs a time out.

hearing bush talk: like hearing a rapist complain his victim is putting up a fight and should just 'lay back and enjoy it'.

pelosi is spineless as her attack is nearly as empty as her actions have been. she just refuses to get to the heart of the matter, and actually push back and DO something.

it's all just words. too many impotent words.

Point is, they don't want to do anything. Why would we want to get out of Iraq when we're sitting on huge oil supplies? Answer: we don't!

Pelosi is beginning to look irritated. About time. Keep it up, W, and we might yet see the sorely-needed remedy of impeachment applied.

You make my heart sing!

Why can't all the media report as clearly as this and make the nonsense coming out of the White House so clear?

Maybe the Networks and CNN (forget FOX - they are a lost cause) would rethink their low ratings and realize that there is no longer any appetite for this administration's lies and spin.

Will you join me in boycotting the sponsors on what represents "news"? You can't hurt 'em except in the wallet.

And let's support Olbermann and his sponsors and show them we value truth!

Pelosi isn't "spineless" by any means - but she does not have a veto-proof majority in the House that is necessary to be more effective against George Bush's sociopathic policies.

The Republican Rubberstamps are blocking her every chance they get...and this is why we need people like Keith Olbermann to speak out so people like you will not attck those who are trying their darndest to save us all.

More media personalities need to speak out - but they are not.

Pelosi and Reid need your help and support - it isn't useful that you join the Republicans in constantly attacking their best efforts.

You can lead a Republican to a bill but you cannot make him compassionate enough to vote for it. The way to change this mess is to vote for a Democrat to fill the House and Senate seats in the next election - then just watch what happens!

IT'S TIME TO CONFRONT THE EMBARASSING

I don't have the expertise to be specific, but the president of late seems seriously impaired. It's no longer cute and amusing. His attempts at twisting facts to suit his needs are absurd. He's been abandoned by a former loyal following and left to his own devices. How long do we allow this to go on? It's time to demand that he prove his competency. Whatever it takes. Doctors, testing, etc. We can't continue down the tubes because we don't want to embarass him or be embarassed ourselves. Thanks, ANNA

I've been hearing about Keith Olberman for awhile, but the show from which this video was taken was the first time I had turned to the Countdown. What a great introduction to a wonderful journalist! He's also amusing, and his comments directed at the president remind me of a not-so-patient adult reprimanding a child who refuses to remember his lessons.

A few weeks ago, the Nation had a picture on its cover of Olberman spanking O'Reilly with a ruler . I'd like to see that cartoon redrawn with Bush replacing O'Reilly. If anyone ever deserved it, Bush is the one!

I hear a lot of talk from Dems, but they ain't doin' shit!

What about the "waste" of lives in Iraq? I could give a shit about no bid contracts when I see complicity for an illegal and perpetual war!

SChip is fine, but what about universal healthcare?

Ahhhh, a pox upon both their houses!

peace

Bush dares to accuse Dems of squandering money...

when he spends $200 billion a day in Iraq. But expansion of SCHIP that could save money (and don't forget lives!), he vetoes. For god's sake, the Repukes spent $64 million on investigating Whitewater and Lewinsky. Where did that get us? Can we get that money back please? Now that we admit in hindsight it was a waste of time?

He wouldn't know fiscal responsiblity if it showed up at his doorstep and bitch-slapped him across the face. May he go down in history as the biggest collective mistake we ever made.

Let's add a mentally fit clause to the constitution. They have it in the military, why doesn't it apply to the Commander in Chief? Unfortunately we needed it most with this clown. He is a disgrace to all presidents, all public servants, and more importantly all Americans. Because of him I want to leave and never come back.

GEORGE BUSH IS COMPLAINING THAT CONGRESS "WASTES TIME" BY TRYING TO DO THE BUSINESS THEY WERE ELECTED TO DO. GWB HAS WASTED 60+YEARS OF THE VALUABLE RESOURCES OF THE EARTH JUST BY LIVING ON THIS PLANET. HOW DARE HE CHASTISE OTHERS?

WE MUST GET THIS GROUP OF "I CAN'T EVEN THINK OF THE WORDS BAD ENOUGH TO REFER TO THIS BUNCH" PALS BEFORE THE ENTIRE WORLD GOES THE WAY OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE.

POWER CORRUPTS... GA

You know, when listening to our pResident, um... "speak", I often find my brain doing the ol' hamster-wheel. Is he really that stupid? Or is it all an act? Or is it a belligerent, mangled attempt at acting mangled & belligerent? Gak!

But this is old news, this marble-mouth "routine". What I found to be truly fascinating about this clip was viewing Pelosi's own strain of rather telling verbal incompetence. Am I the only one who noticed that she briefly lauded the efforts of the "bipartisan Commerce"?!?

I think you meant "Congress", Nancy. Oh, whew, guess you did. Thought we were all in Hell there, for a second.
