The video to your right and post comes from Raw Story. It features some especially obnoxious CNN anchors basically bullying two young college students, one a Young Republican the other a Young Democrat. Raw Story reports:

Rick Sanchez and Kiran Chetry appear not to expect the answer they got from a Republican college student on a special "College Week" edition of CNN's American Morning.

Laura Elizabeth Morales, a Republican and a junior at the University of Texas appears with Rachel Moore, Democrat and a senior at Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania.

On being asked who she thinks the GOP candidate will be for the 2008 Presidential election, Morales puts her support behind Texas Congressman Ron Paul.

"I really think he's a sound traditional conservative," says Morales. "I really think he really sticks to the Constitution, and really stands for what conservatives believe in."

A surprised Sanchez asks: "What are you trying to say?"

Chetry follows up to ask if there is any, as she puts it, 'top tier' GOP candidate that Morales would support because, she says, "if I was a betting woman I'd say Ron Paul doesn't have a chance, unfortunately for you."

Chetry asks if there is a "lack of enthusiasm" over the 'top tier' GOP candidate.

"Having been the idealistic betting candidate," says Morales, "I'd say Ron Paul's got the chance. Idealistically. As far as the 'top tier' candidates, I don't really think they stand for what traditional conservatives believe in.

You've got Giuliani out there, who's really an anti-gun Republican who's going to lose a strong base, especially here in the South. And then Mitt Romney kind of flip-flops on his issues. John McCain, I think, is pretty much just 'out,' but we really need a strong, solid conservative..."

Democrat Rachel Moore weighs in for her side: "It doesn't really matter who gets the ticket because anybody could be a better president than President Bush at this point, and let's focus on just a Democrat winning in 2008, and put aside everything pre-primary politics."

"That's not the question," interjects Sanchez. "If you had to pick somebody, who would you pick?"

"I'd pick a Democrat," responds Moore, to the hosts' amazement. "Let's face it..."

"You're going to make a great senator one day," quips Sanchez.

"All of the College Democrats," says Moore, "we're so behind just winning a Democrat in 2008. If you look at all the Republican candidates -- the Democrats are such a diverse group, and all the Republican candidates -- every one of them, they've said they'd commute Scooter Libby, they said they would stay in Iraq and turn it into the next Korea..."

Sanchz follows up: "If it was Porky Pig, would you vote for him just because he's a Democrat?"

"Now, that's taking it a little far," says Moore.

Sanchez: "So you do consider who the person is, right?"

"I didn't say that, sir," says Moore.

"It's time for a Democrat to win. Let's focus on that first."

Moving on to the "most important issue," Morales brings up Social Security, saying that her generation stands to be robbed of funds currently being put into the government, and that the issue needs to be at the forefront of the 2008 election.

Moore says she stands with the Democrats on the environment, student aid, and universal health care, "among other things."

"We really can't be pegged to one issue at this point. We're so educated and ready to go."

"You can't nail her down this morning," says Chetry of Moore, citing "interesting perspectives" from the guests.

The video to your right is from CNN's American Morning, broadcast on August 24.

Ron Paul is a darling of the anti-choice born again jerks.

A little discussed part of his platform is his anti-abortion plank. Except for his anti-war stand, he is a born again Christian conservative Repuke. We sure don't need another one of those. Figures the b-tch crowing for him is from Texas.

And wouldn't be caught dead associating myself with anything Cheney has done the last 7 years, but yesterday I held my nose and put a RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT bumper sticker on the tailgate of my truck.

They're in a tough spot with no one to blame but themselves. Now they call themselves "Independents". It sounds more respectable than Republican. Maybe no one will know that they voted for Bush. Sorry, but the party's over. We'd like our country back and the chance to repair the damage done by selfish, arrogant brats for the last six years. Have the sense to know when to just shut up. Thanks, ANNA

Ron Paul is the best person presently running for 2008

While I am a far left progressive, and thus disagree with Dr. Paul on many specific issues, I support Dr. Paul for the radical and desperately needed cleansing effect he would have on the federal government. He is also the only candidate running with unquestionable integrity and a clear and consistent voting record.

Dr. Ron Paul stands for the rule of law and not the corrupt rule of cynical party bureaucrats who represent the interests of the international financial elite.

Four years of a libertarian administration will restore the constitutional republic and force the American people to focus on the true role of government at every level. The ensuing philosophical debate will energize the country and empower numerous political parties, creating an entirely new era of political diversity in the U.S.

Dr. Paul is committed to shutting down the two greatest threats to our constitutional republic, the Federal Reserve Bank and its secret police, the C.I.A. Once these two cancers are excised the U.S. can begin to regain its economic viability and move toward a sustainable future.

I would love to see a Ron Paul/Karen Kwiatkowski ticket in 2008.

We need to return to our constitutional roots, carefully analyze the twists and turns of how our federal government got to be the corrupt mess it is today and then create the laws, policies and procedures that will carry us through the next critical phase of our history. Failure to do this will result in catastrophe.

The student from Texas clearly realizes the need for our nation to return to its idealistic roots and she is not alone. The msm consistently ignores the popularity of Dr. Paul and his message among many segments of American society. Note the shock of the two CNN interviewers at the mention of Dr. Paul and their obvious attempt to undermine the legitimacy of his candidacy and message.

The truth shall set us free. Love is the only way forward.

If your even just slightly left of center CNN is just an annoying load of b.s. day after day 24-7.

It's best not to watch except if you want to hear what corporate America wants you to be paying attention to at the moment. But you can just listen to co-workers and relatives - the ones that like to think they are following the important stories and are so well informed about it all- and you'll know what they have the masses chattering about today. Of coarse most folks dont pay attention to coverage of politics at all. "The news" is celebrity scandal and sports. Or, sports scandal, which is the most important kind of story there is, apparently.

I wouldn't write Paul's name on my sidewalk

Let alone a ballot. I would not want to send my child to a school where kids have not been vaccinated for smallpox, hepatitus etc. I have seen what illness can do to kids and classrooms, let alone the workers in the school. How did we 40-older survive our childhoods? You'd think we were trying to POISON these kids for God's sake.

I WANT my taxes to pay for highways, bridges etc. There are many things we can't buy alone. We are entitled to safety. Paul does not support that.

Taxes are the guarantee of a civilized, stable society. those are two adjectives i would not apply to Texas.

We do not need another crazy Republican Texan in the White HOuse. And you jerks who praise him should go live on an island somewhere, only you better be careful you don't get an infection or anything-don't want those nasty vaccines in your body. Oh, and take your kids with you. You don't want them brought up in a SOCIETY, you want them brought up to be ME, ME, ME. Nothing else matters. You won't be missed.
