I think Rudy Giuliani is going down the tubes. He just can't reign in his own ignorance and obnoxiousness enough to hold up well long term in what will be a long 2008 election season. A perfect example is his suggestion yesterday, which he's since backed off from, that he was somehow just as vital to the rescue efforts after 9/11 as the real heroes were. And now he's trying to making an issue out of the fact that the Democrats have used other terms besides "Islamic terrorists" to define our enemies around the world. In the video to your right Stephen Colbert has a terrific segment on the rhetoric of Rudy. Check it out.

I'll tell you what frightens me.... that Guiliani is taken as a serious ....

.... candidate. It shows the depths of slime we have achieved in degrading our political standards that WE THE PEOPLE WANT TO SEE IN OUR LEADERS. Bush was first and that blew me away, but then I thought it was either we were bamboozled or the election was stolen.... I said to myself...

"There is no way, Americans could possibly take this man seriously as the "President of the United States of America". Think about it..... AWOL from military service, drunk driving arrests buried by his father, kicked out of Yale and daddy got him back in with a c grade. Can't speak proper english, ex and now practicing alcoholic and drug addict, no conscience, tore of the legs from live frogs (right there should have told you something) .

And HERE WE ARE AGAIN..... only this time he, "unread", illiterate, and hated cross dressing mayor of NY, is ahead in the polls along with Romney, What in the world is wrong with us? Are we being mass brainwashed that we would accept such low standards for selection of our leaders?

On the republican side, what really highlighted this for me was Rudy standing next to and speaking before or after Ron Paul. What a mind boggling difference between the two, NOT ON ISSUES, but on the quality of the statesmenship, depth of analytical thinking, Paul is well read and knowledgable and has common sense. It really brought it home how much trouble we are in when you look at all of them on both sides.

Out of field of about 20, there are only 4 of that calibur and 3 of them are democrats. How absolutely pathetic AND SCARY. Forget the Islamics, I am more afraid of who may actually get elected. believe me when I say we should all be afraid.

if i had the correct naughty bits.

i suppose i could go 'republican' on him a) while he's sleeping, or b) send him an email (maf54) requesting a picture of himself without a shirt on, or, c) if i just happened to follow him into a men's restroom and offer him 20 bucks.

I think there is no doubt that Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart have done amazing things insofar as emboldening other folks to speak out against this administration. I applaud both of them for what they have done to give those of us who do not feel that we have had a voice in the media, a voice. When one considers the fact that they are comedians, they are so much better at helping the American public become informed about the issues than Tim Russert, Chris Matthews, Wolf Blitzer and the likes.
