Robert Redford (who directs and stars) and Meryl Streep's left wing political leanings are well known. As for Tom Cruise, and the rest of the Scientologist community for that matter, there's more of a question mark. Still, it's interesting to see him in what appears to be a villainous role as a hawkish, neoconservative senator. While it's hard to tell at all from this trailer whether this film will be good or bad, it is refreshing to see a movie with some prescient modern themes after a summer full of three-quels. Lions for Lambs weaves several plots Syriana-style with Redford playing an idealist professor and Streep as a journalist. Will this film spark debate or does it look like just another movie looking to win Academy Awards. Check out the clip to your right and weigh in.
