Probably sometime in mid-to-late 2008, President Bush will be really desperate to find some cause on which to create some shred of good will with the American people. The video to your right suggests, it could be a war waged on "zombies who want to eat our brains." Check out the video to your right to find out who is the real threat "to our children."

This is cute, but come on guys, it cheapens your masthead. You can do better than stuff like this and we NEED real information now more than ever before. Even if Bush did think zombies were real, that would still be just one of the minor problems we have with him. Leave this to the Daily Show people, they do this kind of crap professionally.

I especially liked the comments on Cheney lurking in the bushes. Or should I say lurking WITH the Bushes?

Was this for real or was it someone acting as Bush? If it was real,
we're in worse trouble than I thought. With life on earth in peril from global warming, Iraqi citizens dying by the thousands, American soldiers dying nearly daily, this was not funny and in fact was downright weird. We'd better get this guy out of office ASAP.

This shtick is so over-played it's not funny anymore.
I couldn't even get through the entire thing, it's that shlocky.
Where's the actual "intelligence" when doing this brand of humor? Brain-eating zombies?! Pish!

It's not a funny video, it's childish and stupid and not worth the time.

What audience is this for? 10 year olds? We all know what Bush is like, we've dealt with him for the past seven years. This is kind of degrading to this website to post content like that. It's something I expect to see on www.spikedhumor.com and not on AlterNet.

I found it clever and I laughed, all the more so because I didn't know it was a parody until a few seconds into it (the headline could have been tongue in cheek), so it became a pleasant surprise.

This is one of the best sites on the web for intelligent opinion and an occasional laugh, but this was just plain dumb. Please don't degrade the rest of the content with junk like this, OK?

Someone once said that tyrants fear being laughed at more than they fear the assassin's bullet.

If we can laugh at this spithead and his minions, perhaps we can survive his reign. If we stop laughing, we die.

Alternet, keep up with the serious news, but keep spicing things up with the quirky. The best part of this one is that, no one could doubt its possible veracity.

Irresponsible Move Alternet

OK, the piece was worthy of a polite smirk, but to splash this across the nation's in-boxes as if it is real, without the slightest indication that the piece is satire, is irresponsible journalism.

Keep your humor in the "Humor" section and label it as such, or the line between Alternet and "The Onion" will begin to blur.

Once they kill your ability to even laugh, they win! So despite the seriousness of the present situation, you got to laugh. Like those Iraqis who created a colour coded map of Baghdad to show the death zones... Morbid, but what the hell do you have left?

Isn't there a book about how to survive the zombie apocalypse?

The reporter was almost seamlessly incorporated into the clips of the rose garden. Good job!

I believe that Bush would react this way, if confronted with the question about zombies. I think he would consider the question a definite ''intellectual question' and would answer it according to his understanding of the topic.
Insightful video!!!!

C'mon y'all... if you lose your ability to laugh at this kind of humor, we all lose. Yes, keep the serious stuff coming, Alternet. But also yes, keep exposing these dangerous felons with such gut-busting humorous clips. Look beyond the humor, but leverage it to set a precedent in rejecting, through humor, the false terror that these criminals are trying to impose on us all. The terror comes from within our administration - I would feel safer with zombies at the helm.

...for zombies and it becomes just as funny...or NOT. I think that is the real issue here for people here deciding whether this is parody or not.

For me it was not funny because this man is just a pathetic sociopath, and even his "normal" faux pas" against language, logic, intelligence, intelligent thinking, anything progressive, has become tiresome.
