Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) has long been ahead of the curve on a number of issues. His call for a withdrawal of US troops a couple years ago was deemed irresponsible and extreme at the time and now has become the mainstream, popular American position. Feingold now intends to proceed with promoting the censure of President Bush, and no doubt the opposition will cry foul again. But Feingold, and the progressive community know better.
