Michael Moore takes his new cause, exposing the shoddy reporting of the mainstream media, to the Colbert Report in the video to your right, which was provided by The Largest Minority. Moore's takedown of Wolf Blitzer first, and then Sanjay Gupta second, have now become the stuff of legend, but how does Moore do standing up against the great Stephen Colbert?

It's not often you see Michael Moore bushwhacked and surprised by others - those are usually his techniques in interviews. I loved the screen "separation" between Moore and Colbert.
This should be required viewing for all who think drug advertising is a good idea, or who have never thought about it all.

This was the greatest exchange I have seen ever!!!

Somehow someone aught to recognize the power in both Michael Moore and Stephen Colbert bantering back and forth.

It was hillarious! It was truthful! It was pointed! WOW!

If only mainstream media stopped all the falsehoods and story telling lies. It would be a much better world.

Thank Alternet for this bit and parcel of real information. It is rare these days.

My computer is too slow to download this but if it is in any way putting down Michael Moore-I don't want to see it.

And I don't want to hear anything bad about Angelina Jolee or her husband or any other progressive artist, trying to save the world. Progressive people have enough to fight without having to defend themselves from other progressives.
Leave that to Rush.

And for those of us who can't afford high speed internet-it would be nice if Alternet also would print out stories like this.

Are you aware that there's a movement afoot to put the few media giants that sanitize the news to pap for US consumption under one umbrella? You don't need freedom of the press when there's only one voice!

As a health care provider who deals with these issues on a daily basis, I found this to be a wonderful interview. Great tongue in cheek. I have found Michael Moore to be one of the most progressive and gutsy people in our time and I wish more would listen to him. Talking with drug reps from the different drug companies - he has them scared as they should be. He is speaking the truth. We need to wake up in this country. I am glad we have a spoof such as the Colbert Report to represent how ridiculous the other side is.

most of what you get on the media is slanted or spun anyway,I to this day know people who still believe Hussein was involved in 911,still believe Bush cares about us,etc,to me w/little diff.KIETH OBERMAN, LOU DOBBS, a few others bend the rules a little but the 3 big cable stations are all pretty much the same, thats why i read the christian science monitor for one[ i'm a devout athiest by the way ] then theirs Alternet,Information clearing house and others for those of us who care ,and for those who don't doesn't really matter anyway, does it?
