Posted by Rachel Maddow at 7:35 AM on July 19, 2007.

Just about all the Republicans think they have going for them right now is the fact that they're white and they have creepy ads about "protecting our children."

Republican candidates for president... are in a bit of a SPOT when it comes to the policy stuff that americans care about right now.

Americans are mad about iraq, our health care sucks, rich people are getting wwwwwwwwwway waaaay rich while everybody else is sinking or barely swimming, we’re worried about the environment and global warming and everything.

The republican candidates.... NOT ON the right side of any of those issues. It’s a problem. What DO the republicans have going for them? well, they’re WHITE guys.

Check out the video to your right for more.

are the constitutional rights he has granted himself. He can take anyone off the streets and lock them up with no warning and no disclosing the reason, for an indeterminant time. He can go into your house anytime he wants and go through your personal papers and possessions. Sound familiar? SEIG HEIL.

Thank you, Rachael; you do a good job keeping us on our toes. However, you (or your writers) missed a great opportunity not equating Romney's ridiculous campaign ad with the much more metaphorically apt Mike Gravel ad. C'mon, they both depicted water, but only one holds water. (Or, can I crack: only one can hold his water, and guess which one it is[?])

Dr. Rachel Maddow is such a superb combination of insight and wit. I have watched this video three times and I can not believe that the Romney campaign ad is real. It seems like some sort of late night Saturday Night Live parody comedy skit commercial. It is so creepy that it is almost surreal.

What is totally amazing to me is that the Rethugs just love Rupert Murdoch, as do all of the Rethug enablers and Murdoch is the largest telecarrier of porn in the US.
And the Rethugs and their so called christian enablers, the right wing catholics and evangelical fundies never say a thing about that fact, as they keep on supporting the Republikkkan Party which just goes on supporting Murdoch. And they call themselves the moral majority, the party of god(small g) the party of family values and the party that protects children.
Way strange---

If the Repulsivcrans were really interested in children and families, they would bring the moms and dads home from Iraq.
