"Who among us will stop this war of lies?," asks Keith Olbermann. He, like most progressives right now, is deeply disappointed in the Democratic-controlled Congress for caving in to President Bush’s demands for the Iraq War funding bill. As of right now only two 2008 Democratic presidential candidates (Edwards and Dodd) have come out against this new bill, which has optional benchmarks instead of the timetable for withdrawal the overwhelming majority of Americans want. Olbermann rips into President Bush and his Democratic enablers with a gusto that would make Edward R. Murrow proud. As he says in the video to your right, "this has been a shameful and bipartisan betrayal."
