In the clip to your right, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. John Conyers questions Goodling, who was Alberto Gonzales' White House liaison. Goodling previously had planned to plead the fifth amendment until she was granted immunity for her testimony. Conyers asks Goodling about what is arguably the most controversial of the eight (or is it nine or ten now?) US attorney firings, that of New Mexico's David Iglesias. Yet again, a former Justice Department official seems clueless and dumbfounded. How can our Justice Department officials have such horrible memory? I guess the thing thing is they don't, they're just really bad at covering things up.

Digg!
