It's funny, as I watch the clip to your right I can't help but think of another tragic political figure who allowed a pointless war to tarnish what had previously been a positive reputation: LBJ. No matter what Blair did before or does from this point on he will always be haunted by the unbelievably foolish choice of backing President Bush and supporting the Iraq War. I don't feel a sliver of sympathy for the man mind you. But I do wonder how he feels when polls now show that only 6% of Britains consider him trustworthy. Did he ever imagine that he'd leave office this despised by the people of the UK...I think not. He clearly thought that hitching himself to Bush's wagon would pay off for him politically in the long run. Needless to say it didn't. I guess the lesson of Blair is that Bush has a uniquely awful form of the Midas touch. Whatever he touches turns into an incompetent moron with unfavorable opinion polls.

Digg!
