It should be a big wakeup call that our government isn't too bloody interested in listening to us outside of hearing a big amen to the consent their media manufactures.

That consent has been crumbling for some time... and it was never all that effective to begin with.

We must begin to take actions on our own.. such as this.. making our voices known.. and not simply through controlled protests that are so standard as to not be covered by the media.

(and, no... I'm not endorsing breaking the law, etc... but, hey... You're going to do whatever you're going to do.)

i wear my t-shirt around the campus of UGA all the time, "Save the bill of rights, impeachbush.org". I used to get some dirty looks but lately i've had more people say things like "i like your t-shirt...."
get the word out any way you can....

Why I oppose impeacment

It doesn't matter who is impeached first, McCain will in all probability be the incumbent president in 2008 if we impeach - and the way things stand, that's the only way McCain could become president.

There is a naive and ignorant assumption that the outcome of impeachment would be a Pelosi presidency. A study of recent history and the constitution shows that will never happen.

When Agnew was caught with his hand in the cookie jar and resigned, Nixon appointed his replacement, Gerald Ford. He was then confirmed by the Democratic senate. He then pardoned Nixon for every crime he had ever committed.

If Bush or Cheney is impeached, McCain is the logical nominee. As a sitting senator, he would (in spite of all our protests) sail through the nomination process. He would then have the power, as Ford did, to pardon any member of this corrupt administration.

I favor treason trials - after the 08 elections. That won't happen either, but it would be possible to try either Bush or Cheney (or both) on various corruption charges.

I don't really expect that either, to tell the truth. Face it - one way or another, there'll be no real accountability for most (any?) of the members of this incredibly undemocratic, corrupt and treasonous administration.

It pains me greatly to have said that. In a couple of years time, I'd love to have been proven wrong.
