The head of the anti-gay National Association for the Research and Therapy of Homosexuals (NARTH), Dr. Joseph Nicolosi, was featured on the CNN special on "What is a Christian: Sex and Salvation" last week, and reporter Gary Tuchman tried to engage with Nicolosi about his research and claims that effeminacy and affinity of the arts are signs parents to watch out for lest their child become a homo.

He had a hissy fit and stormed off (video upper right)

A snippet of the transcript via Ex Gay Watch:

TUCHMAN: …So, there are some stereotypes you talk about, how, you know, if a child's effeminate, if he's creative, he's artistic, those are things to look out for. Is that fair to say?

NICOLOSI: Goodbye. You're confusing effeminacy with artistic. I didn't say artistic. Here.

TUCHMAN: Hey, Doctor?

(voice-over): For the record, the word "artistic" is right here in the Love Won Out literature.

Patrick also uploaded a slightly longer version up at Google Video that includes ex-gay-for-pay Mike Haley (who looks like he's seated next to a fellow professional heterosexual, Focus on the Family's Gender Issues Analyst Melissa Fryrear in the clip):

TUCHMAN (voice-over): As for Mike Haley, the recent convert to heterosexuality.

TUCHMAN to HALEY: Any homosexual who wants to, do you think they can become heterosexual?

HALEY: Absolutely. Absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, every single person that wants to leave homosexuality can do it.

TUCHMAN (voice-over): But how? Is there really a treatment for homosexuality? Or is the so-called cure just another path to pain?

That didn't look like a tantrum.

All he did was walked away, took his mic off, and then left. Did I miss the tantrum?

These guys have nothing. They cannot win a debate b/c they know there is no substance to their claims. So they refuse "debate" even when someone just wants an answer to a question. Beyond that they are just out and out liars, and this video very succinctly proves this, at least in this case. But they are very effective at brainwashing vulnerable people. Some people are just idiots willing to follow whoever they believe to be an authority figure and get what they deserve while some people really are tormented are looking for an answer without realizing that the problem is the culture they live in telling them that they are inherently flawed where no flaw really exists. It's too bad that these guys don't have any real compassion or moral foundation, all they want is a quick buck, money is their god. Snake-oil salesmen, with hard-luck losers and confused seekers as their victims.

Well, I am not defending any of what the guy may have said. But that wasn't what I'd call storming out. That looked like walking away to me. You can make a good point without using inflammatory/heightened words. This is where journalism must monitor itself. Best of luck.
