Chocolate Jesus Charlatan Lampooned on South Park [VIDEO]

The South Park boys pit a power hungry Bill Donohue against Jesus against the backdrop of Stan's attempt to understand just what a Bunny has to do with the risen Christ.
As both Julia and Pastordan note, Bill Donohue is way too busy moralizing about a Chocolate Jesus sculpture to worry about a Republican presidential candidate's abortion stance or pecadillo-happy past, despite his vociferous denunciations of John Kerry before the 2004 elections.
It seems his adherence to the Republican Party line is a bit sturdier than his adherence to the Catholic Church -- let alone to the ideals of Jesus. Something the South Park boys get right in the episode excerpted here (part 3, the denouement, in which Donohue and Jesus face off, will be available shortly).
Noting that Donohue has called said boys "whores and cowards," the Orlando Sentinel quotes the Catholic League's response to the episode excerpted here:
On last night’s episode of the Comedy Central show "South Park," Catholic League president Bill Donohue appeared as one of the cartoon characters, along with a figure of Pope Benedict XVI. The Easter script depicted Donohue chastising the pope for being "too soft." Donohue then takes over as pope. When a Jesus figure appears, he has both the pope and Jesus arrested. After Jesus is killed by Kyle, he resurrects and kills Donohue.
Donohue commented on this today:
"I have no idea why 'South Park' creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker caricature me as a heartless thug. In any event, I stand convicted and have no defense. Now I have to get back to business—I hear someone just took some liberties with the Easter Bunny."I'm guessing he's trying to come off as good-humoredly dismissive....
