It seems the nature of politicians is on display more than usual in all of this in that no one seems to be able to tell the truth or actually stick to any facts.

All we hear now is how people "remember" things to have happened. I'm sure given that option as an out Clinton never would have remembered Monica at all.. and everyone ever tried in the Hague would have forgotten all about all those people they raped and/or killed.

How wonderful that now Republicans want to just be able to remember things differently to absolve themselves of all wrongdoing.. and then call those who would prosecute their crimes partisan witch hunters.

It goes along with that pseudo-secret concept of "creating reality" that the Reps in the white house squak about. Those who attempt to study the actual reality are "left behind" because the White House bunch are already ahead of them manipulating and creating reality. In other words... they are lying to us about the way the world is. It doesn't just describe a political elite out of touch with the people... it describes a political elite sliding into actual self-induced psychosis.

And this from the party that claims to be chock full of "hard headed realists"...

Now they, much like the coffee.. and just plain chock full o' nuts.

hatch pulling the race card was not addressed properly, and in my opinion, this piece shows that he has successfully re-routed the arguement to one of race (no matter how convoluted). the first part was good: Hatch is a liar , although i noticed she managed to put in a "i think" to keep the lawyers away...
the second part was bad and she fell into his trap, which she actually used as her closer.

DO NOT GET REDIRECTED INTO ONE OF THE RIGHTS MOST FAVORITE WAYS OF DERAILING ARGUEMENT FROM THE FACTS. DO NOT TAKE THEIR RACE BAIT, DO NOT TAKE THEIR ABORTION BAIT, DO NOT REDIRECT YOUR ARGUEMENTS IN A DIRECTION THAT IS SO OBVIOUSLY SCRIPTED...

It's odd to see people like Bill Donahue not get it. He gives the guy a death threat and then complains that the artist is claiming "victim status."

Bill Donahue has made his career debating ideas. He ups ideas and he downs ideas. And he does not see that there's a difference when he is talking to the very person who's idea or art it was. He's like a bull in a china shop. For this interview, he ought to have let his ideological struggle go just for a few minutes, and talk to this person as if he were a real person who deserved respect.

The artist has a point. It's christian folklore which the art embodies. Bill Donahue's christ is exactly what's portrayed there - except it's in chocolate, and nude, as human beings are in their true form.
