Yes, that's a Bush-like character reading "My Pet Goat."

From vigilant video blogger John Harrison comes the latest episode of ATTACK OF THE CARTOONS.

In the first video, Family Guy mocks fear-mongering TV News (like its parent network Fox). What if that plane had crashed into bunnies and caused a man to beat his wife? (FYI: Yes, spousal abuse is one of the least funny things to depict but remember the satirical point: it's not about laughing at abuse, it's about selling salacious news content even at the cost of the facts...)

In the second vid, the Simpsons also take on Fox, as well as inadequate support for the troops from the (formerly) Republican congress.

The Family Guy clip was pretty tasteless. I fail to see how it took on Bush.

The Simpsons clip reminded me of how funny the show used to be.

The Family Guy clip is so close to the truth it's scary. Don't think for a moment that given the chance the Rightards wouldn't dub and edit stuff to "prove" their fantasy...

.. the idea that they are 'taking on' Fox is pretty disingenuous considering that's who cuts their checks.

Must be an age thing, generational humor. At 71 I didn't think either clip was at all humorous. I assume that both were supposed to be.
