Dinesh: Liberalism Caused 9/11 [VIDEO]

Colbert nearly breaks free of his persona to eviscerate Dinesh D'souza's truly disgusting contention that America's liberal culture was somehow asking for 9/11.

As Slate's Timothy Noah notes, D'Souza has "Mullah Envy," decrying progressive values somewhat in agreement, apparently, with Osama Bin Laden.

If one of the right wing's favorite epithet's is "the blame America first crowd," does D'Souza lead the way now? Far as I can tell, the only personalities of note that have actually blamed America for 9/11 are Jerry "witches, lesbians etc" Falwell and now D'souza.

Quick question: why would anyone care what D'souza thinks? He was wrong on Iraq and I have trouble remembering anything he's been right about... if you do, please note it in comments.

For who can forget Osama bin Laden’s searing videotape of fall 2001, in which he speaks of “eighty years” of Arab “humiliation and disgrace,” calls for the restoration of the Caliphate, and condemns the United States for “no-fault divorce” and its impact on the traditional family? “Your Barney Frank has always repelled me,” added bin Laden in the October 2004 tape that is widely credited with boosting George Bush’s re-election campaign. “I was most pleased when your Dick Armey called him ‘Barney Fag,’ and I urge your homosexuals to stop abusing the freedom to choose their life partners. Also, your Michael Moore is considerably overweight.”
