Vanessa at Feministing alerted me to this L-Word episode squeezing every last drop of drama out of the fake abortion clinic phenomenon.

They're known in "polite" circles as Crisis Pregnancy Centers, or CPCs.

It's true that these clinics often employ deceptive and downright emotionally manipulative tactics to harass women out of their decision to have an abortion, but this depiction seems a bit over the top to me.

The asskicking pregnant woman is played by all-around asskicker Pam Grier. Vanessa writes: "While it was pretty terrifying to see a depiction of what they put these poor women through, it was dope to see Grier go buck wild on their deceiving asses.

Hey, it's TV, whaddya want?
