I got to see it on the CBC, the Canadian station our friendly Conservative party loves to hate.

Definitely worth watching.

Seeing the film, I mean. Definitely not worth it, being cannon fodder for their wars. Whatever the common man thinks, war is never what out leaders say it is about. It is about making a few people very rich and very powerful. And the bodies they use to these ends are never their own children's.

This seems like the kind of documentary we need. I like that it doesn't make a point of singling out any adminstration or party, because everyone's hands are dirty.

This is the kind of film I remember seeing in school, and does this film EVER need to be shown in every high school economics and history class.

Within time, I'm sure it will. Kudos to its makers, its truth, and a big F U to the idiot who muttered epithets in the back row of the theater where we saw it... the rest of us put him in his place with our standing ovation at the end.

Not surprising that the morons who support war would be fooled by the title, expecting a big US Administration propaganda-fest.

HA! Welcome to reality, Bud.

The last comment said that nobody said the American Empire will go on forever.
I had a lot of respect for Eisenhower to say what he said about the military industrail complex. Since he was a part of it during WWll. He had a lot of connections with the pentagon and knew what was happening to this country and warned us when he left office. He should have warned us and did something about it while in office but there is always pressure from within. We know the Commie threat that kept the machine going. Every year they got more and more money entill what we have today is a monster that just about taken over from within.
Or did they take over when they or some other spy complex in the U.S.
assassinated President Kennedy. There has been more coming out lately about who did what during and after the coup.
There also is a new take in the old Oliver Stone movie with new scenes.
The latest I've heard was when the head of the CIA "Colby"
went before a senate intelligent committee and reported that Rockefeller and Allen Dullest were pissed off about the Bay of Pigs and ? They fired Colby and stopped the commission and put George Sr. in charge of the CIA. There were many connections between George Bush Sr. and E. Howard Hunt the Watergate crook that when in jail threaten Nixon if he did not get him out of jail and give him a Million dollars to keep his mouth shut.
Another connection was Nixon and Jack Ruby they worked together when Tricky Dicky ran for office in California in the 50's. Lot's of stuff is starting to mesh and when questioned where he was during the Assassination, George Bush Sr. said he could not remember. George was running the oil company ZAPTA oil and guess what the name of the operation was. And guess what the name of the ship that transported the fighters on to CUBA, Barbara, named for his wife, he also named two planes he flew during WWll barbara.
And lets not forget Prescott Bush the Nazi who got his bank taken away from him by J. Edger Hoover during the war.
Lots of coincedence eh.
