On Tuesday Melissa wrote about Rush Limbaugh's "unbearably heinous" mockery of Michael J. Fox's campaign ad, for pro-stem cell research Democrat, Claire McCaskill.

Limbaugh, as usual, didn't even get the facts correct. His allegation that Fox was exaggerating his ticks by perhaps not taking his medication is exactly wrong. The ticks are the result of taking the meds. But whatever, Rush isn't really into all the nuts and bolts of prescription meds, just the abuse of them.

Now, Keith Olbermann has the video of Rush's desperate attack on a Parkinson's sufferer, as well as Fox's grace-ful response. Watch video above.

Dems want to protect themselves from criticism through using people like MJ Fox? PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM WHAT??? FROM CRITICISM OF SUPPORTING RESEARCH TO STOP DISEASES LIKE THIS????

My grandfather suffers from a similar disease which is yet unidentified.. they can only describe what disease it is somewhat like. Even when I look at the issue dispassionately, I still come back to the same conclusion... cells are not more important than living breathing human beings. If that weren't the case, we would be trying and hanging any and every doctor who ever prescribed an antibiotic.

Former wellfare recipient and criminal drug addict Rush Limbaugh should be ashamed of himself. Further, former wellfare recipient and criminal drug addict Rush Limbaugh should be FIRED!

Limbaugh is a scumbag

Russ Limbaugh, like many other carpetbaggers, has relocated to West Palm Beach, my original Florida home. It is embarrassing and tragic that such a lying, paranoid, drug abusing scumbag has permeated my once beautiful city. What is worse is his frightening propaganda that so many millions take to heart as truth rather than verbal rubbish. I spent 8 years as Director, Information Services, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, and took great delight in my role to neutralize such smelly diarrhea that spews from Limbaugh's ugly mouth. During those 8 years (1987-94) my team played a significant role in silencing the Communist drivel. Now we have millions of Limbaugh followers, neo-con, fascist, people who have been completely brainwashed by his vitriolic bull shit.

If anyone ever doubted that the Limbaugh audience were nothing but uneducated crackers as is Rush himself, this video should lay those doubts to rest!!

Perhaps the only thing we can be thankful for is that Limbaugh may not be able to get his big fat foot out of his mouth on this one. Other than playing to his mean-spirited and ignorant dittoheads, it is a useful public display of the hateful vomitous spewed forth from this man's filthy mouth -- useful in the sense that some moderate and dissatisfied Republicans might finally see the depths to which their party has sunk. We can hope that the stench of this man's mind might finally drive away enough of his marginal listeners.

He must have one serious foot fetish. He seems to love having his own foot in his mouth. This time though, he has it in there up to his knee. I only hope that he chokes on it.
I used to work for a guy who listened to and believed that bullshit. We weren't even allowed to talk while he spewed his bullshit. I was threatened with termination for verbalizing my disagreement with "gas bag" Limbaugh. I quit the following day.
Anyone who believes the verbal sewage coming from that man is totally misled and not very intelligent. Then again, most people who voted for this administration fall into this catagory.

The man has outdone himself on this one. Hard to imagine that kind of mindset. I have since read Michael J. Fox's eloquent and, as Keith Olbermann says, graceful responses, including that he was neither acting nor off his medication. I did not understand that the medication actually causes more movement, in order to keep them from a state where they can barely move, if at all, until watching this clip. Thanks again, K. O., not only for exposing again the pond scum that Rush Limbaugh is, but for showing us Michael's response, and having the disease's symptoms and response to medication explained a little better. I also appreciate the explanation for why so many neocon's eat this shit up. It is not an excuse, but yes, it does tell just what they need to feed themselves with so they can stay in their sad state of denial. Too bad it affects so many others who are out of their orbit.

PERHAPS THERE'S REASON FOR RUSH'S EXISTENCE!

Just watching that big fat wind/scumbag shaking his obscene jelly-belly rolls and flailing his stubby arms, reaffirms the belief that, not only did he totally fail with his diet regimen, but seems as he's back on the oxy. He will not suffer a loss in his audience share since what they tune him in for is what they get - a security blanket spun out of bias, hatred, racism, anti-feminism, ridicule of all things he deems offensively 'liberal' and anything & everything that would require critical thinking that contained even an iota of reality. It amazes and depresses me that his was the only radio program that had been on Armed Forces radio for years and our troops were inundated with his distorted mean-spirited version of America. It's fitting that boy-king wannabe W invited him (& some of his like-minded hate mongering bloviating cohorts) to attend a meeting at the White House designated to 'brainstorm' about how they could be most helpful before Nov 7 in selling and propegating their compassionate conservatism agenda to buck up and energize their true base. The freakazoids, nincompoops, asswipes, dullards, miscreants, scumbuckets and deluded egotistical dittoheads that comprise this cigar (penis substitute) chomping. impotent viagara swallowing bulk of an oxy-moron, need their dose of perversion and hate spewing to go on with their arrogant, delusional and utterly mundane existences while their clan outfits are out being laundered. He performs a necessary public service as the go-to poster guy representing the bushite brand of compassion America has been awarded with by the hypocritical zealot-in-chief who occupies the Oval office. It would be so damned appropriate if this last disgusting performance displaying his bullying pomposity targeted against a distinguished man of courage like Mr. Fox, would be responsible for tipping the still fence sitting voters over to the light of reason and helping Democrats unseat his self proclaimed conservative allies. Karma - do you hear me?

LEAVE RUSH TO KEITH, MOLLY & MSM

Does anybody wish to join me in leaving Mr Limbaugh to the professional writers who work for MSM or contribute to AlterNet, practitioners in the healing arts, professionals in law enforcment & corrections? Mr Limbaugh's remarks are a damning indictment of him & his fans & trolls, aka ditto heads. If you doubt it see the comments of trolls & ditto heads AlterNet above my comment. There is a remote, very remote, chance practitoners in the healing arts could heal Mr Limbaugh, his trolls & his ditto heads of whatever ails them but the prognosis is extremely guarded.
Since the courts now pass mentally impaired offenders to correctional facilities professional employees who staff correctional facilities will be burdened with caring for Mr Limbaugh, his trolls & his ditto heads when their acts make them a danger to themselves or the public. A psychiatrist's &/or a psychologist's diagnosis no longer furnishes an alabi or treatment in a psychiatric hospital to a mentally impaired offender.
Mr Limbaugh, his trolls & his ditto heads are writhing in the demented spasms they seek when they engage in most excessive speech & are enjoying every second of attention they are getting. When it becomes necessary to incarcerate them-they will insist that they are martyrs to corrections officers & fellow inmates. Often more rational inmates harm demented inmates if the ravings of the demented become unendurable to the rational. Is is regretable that Mr Limbaugh & his ilk are sometimes murdered by more rational inmates. But it will quiet Mr Limbaugh & his ilk. If the religious elements are to believed, death will bring Mr Limbaugh & his ilk eternal peace.
The rational majority must leave Mr Limbaugh & his ilk's fates to the proper authorities when Limbaugh & co have psychotic breakthroughs in instances like this.

Wasn't he supposed to have gone deaf or something?

I am saddened by the level of hatred expressed in most of the posts towards a man who represents about 20 million Americans. Are you not interested in obtaining the support of some of those 20 million especially after what is happening to many of them with the expose of how Bush and Co have used them and NOW Limbaugh attacks a courgeous Michale J. Fox. IF I was one who was finally becoming disillussioned, I would return to Limbaugh after seeing the hatefull posts here. I often see bigotry here on AlterNetr and am saddended by this from progressives. Wake up and use reason instead of pure emotion!!!!

I don't know whether this is more sad or scary!

I still look at this as the "shock and awe" situation. Here we have a well-respected, decent individual bravely fighting a horrific disease, and at the same time working to find a cure which may never come in time to benefit him. That is selfless, not shameless as Rush Limbaugh states. What is shameless is his ridicule of Michael J. Fox and his tremors.

I was blessed (I have to call it that) with a neurological disorder which starts with Parkinson's-like symptoms. I say blessed, because they are not permanent and no one with the disorder has never gone into full-blown Parkinson's. But I had the symptoms for a year; Michael J Fox and others have it for a lifetime. It is painful and frightening. One thing you can't see is the pain in the muscles and the joints, the constantly churning stomach that makes it difficult to even swallow at times. Even if you want to eat, your stomach doesn't feel like it can take it. The involuntary movements are exhausting and, as I said, I only had to put up with it for one year, the most frightening year of my life.

Thank you, Keith Obermann, for this dialog. And to the celebrities who speak out against it, mostly for religious reasons, it would appear to me that if we are of God, so are our ideas. I would believe that scientific knowledge is God-given, and we have been introduced to this research for a reason.

As it is, hundreds of thousands of rejected embryos from fertility clinics, embryos which will most likely never be adopted, are being thrown into dumpsters. They could have yielded relief to Michael J Fox and the 1.5 million other sufferers of Parkinsons, as well as others suffering from Alzheimers, MS, and countless disorders. I doubt God would prefer dumpsters over life.

We need to get some sanity back in our lives, and get religion out of democracy. We need faith, not religion, in our country. This country will continue to fail in every progressive area until we win back our democracy, and that can only be done by re-emphasizing the Constitutional separation of Church and State.
