Katie Couric opened her historic premiere as a female network news anchor with a report on the resurgence of the Taliban. Video to the right -->>

Her opening comments:

"In the War on Terror, you have to wonder, is it back to the drawing board. It's easy to forget that Afghanistan is where that war began… now, nearly five years [later]… the Taliban and their terror tactics are back."
Couric then introduces a Lara Logan exclusive report from Afghanistan on how the Taliban is stronger than ever.

Hello. Bush. Mr. Iraq is the frontline of the War on Terror. Did you happen to catch Katie's premiere?
