Couric's first report: Taliban stronger than ever
Katie Couric opened her historic premiere as a female network news anchor with a report on the resurgence of the Taliban. Video to the right -->>
Her opening comments:
"In the War on Terror, you have to wonder, is it back to the drawing board. It's easy to forget that Afghanistan is where that war began… now, nearly five years [later]… the Taliban and their terror tactics are back."Couric then introduces a Lara Logan exclusive report from Afghanistan on how the Taliban is stronger than ever.
