After Kyra Phillips' bathroom break heard around the world, she went on the Late Show with David Letterman to do some damage control.

Video to the right -->>

For those of you who haven't heard about it, during a speech by President Bush CNN's Kyra Phillips took a bathroom break and didn't realize that her mic was on. While Bush spoke about the Katrina disaster, CNN watchers got to listen to Phillips in the bathroom zipping up and chatting about her "control freak" sister-in-law.

Considering that this highly embarrassing gaffe probably wasn't her fault, you can't help but feel bad for her. Hopefully, the make fun of yourself strategy works to make things better. After all, it did make the floundering president's speech much more interesting.

Digg!
