On December 28th, U.S. forces policing the prison take three Britons and fly them to a detention center at Kandahar air base, where they are beaten and interrogated, by both U.S. soldiers and the SAS. During the flight to Kandahar, their heads are covered with burlap sacks and they were secured in a stress position while in the cargo plane. Shafiq Rasul (one of the Tipton Three) recalls the flight to Khandahar:

"In normal circumstances the position would have been difficult to maintain for any length of time. Given that I was extremely weak and that I was suffering from dysentery, dehydration, hunger and exhaustion it was impossible to maintain this position for more than a few minutes at a time. If however I leant back or tried to move, I would be struck with a rifle butt. These blows were not designed to prevent us from falling back or to adjust our position, they were meant to hurt and punish us."

The Road to Guantanamo Main Synopsis:

Winner of the Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival, Michael Winterbottom and Mat Whitecross' The Road to Guantanamo. Part documentary, part dramatization, the film chronicles the sequence of events that led from the trio setting out from Tipton in the British Midlands for a wedding in Pakistan, to their crossing the Afghanistan border just as the U.S. began its bombing campaign, to their eventual capture by the Northern Alliance and their imprisonment in Camp X-Ray and later at Camp Delta in Guantanamo.

I'm not sure I can watch this film. It looks sickening. I already get sick to the stomach when I watch Bush!

"“The methods and photos from Abu Grahib and Guantanamo were no shock to any Palestinian who had been in prison between 1967 and the ‘80’s. All the methods used in Abu Grahib were normal procedures against Palestinians. In 1999 Internationals, Palestinians and Israelis for human rights threatened a boycott against Israel and that is what forced the Supreme Court to address the torture issue. They did not ban torture and the General Prosecutor can choose not to prosecute those who still use it."-Ala Jaradat of the organization ADAMEER

I empathise with the above writer but believe the film should be shown on every television programme in the USA and the UK with special emphasis on the idiots who supported madman Bush and his poodle Blair.
In view of the recent revelations regarding the murders of civilians by the bad element of the military who I believe have desecrated the uniform of some of the best regiments in the USA.
After the attack on Iraq Bush and Co. had not the slightest idea as what to do next. Over two thousand five hundred lives needlessly wasted and countless thousands of injured personell practically thrown on the scrapheap. Let us also remember the three plus trillion plus dollars of debt incurred by Bush on the Usa.
The true weapons of mass destruction ard Bush Cheyney and the lying Rumsfeld

I am not shocked by this video only dismayed..this neo-nazi behavior has been going on for time im-memorial..from russia..america..vietnam..palestine..south america..what frightens me is the complacency of the american public..who would rather invest in their i-pods--$50,000 Hummers, rag-mags, and fastfood mentality..The New World Order is upon us..and we having been reduced to sheeple..with our well induced nano-second attention span..are content to sit on our obese fractured conscience..happily accept..these events believing they are immune to all of this..I am an american..who loves my country..but am in mourning as to its demise...due to the gradual destruction of its constitution...2 elections were completed in fraud..yet the american public did nothing to alter it...short of impeachment proceedings...and war crimes charges of most of our government..we are doomed to watch history repeat itself..to be informed is to be empowered!!! Thank you alternet for your bravery and commitment..not to feed into the horseshit of major media which has lied for a very long time....to everyone..not just some.
