Last week, Rep. Alan Grayson said the Republican "plan" for health care was "don't get sick", and if you get sick, "die faster". Republicans called on Grayson to apologize; Grayson's response was to apologize to those who have died due to lack of health insurance. Since then, Grayson has stuck to his guns. Here's a tribute to the brave Democrat from Florida.

What Sarah Palin's "Jewish people will be flocking to Israel" prediction really means
Palin's associated with a religious tendency whose leaders promote anti-Jewish conspiracy theory

Hmmm ... Why Do So Many Wingnuts Have Such an Obsessive Fear of Being Raped?
It's all they can talk about in the right-wing media.

to get some.
I donated to his campaign after watching this his first appearance on the house floor.
I donated again after he apologized to ''all the 44,000 Americans who because they have no healthcare''.

For all the trolls on this site :

Grayson was born in the Bronx, New York. He graduated from Bronx High School of Science, Harvard College (Phi Beta Kappa), Harvard Law School (with honors). He also earned a Master of Public Policy from Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government, and completed the course work and passed the general exams for a Ph.D. in Government.[2]

After writing his master's thesis on gerontology, he founded the Alliance for Aging Research and remains secretary of its board of directors.[3]

Grayson was employed as a law clerk at the Colorado Supreme Court in 1983, and at the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals from 1984 to 1985, where he worked with such judges as Abner Mikva, Robert Bork, and two judges who later joined the U.S. Supreme Court: Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Antonin Scalia. He was an associate at the Washington D.C. firm of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson for five years, where he specialized in contract law. In 1991 he founded the law firm Grayson, Kubli which concentrated on government contract law. He was a lecturer at the George Washington University government contracts program and a frequent speaker on the topic.[2]

Grayson also founded and was the first President of IDT Corporation, a publicly traded billion-dollar telecommunications company.[4] [3]

In recent years, he specialized in whistleblower cases aimed at companies that excessively profited from the War in Iraq through various forms of corruption and waste. While pursuing the whistleblower cases, he worked from a home office in the Orlando house where he lived with his wife and five children. In 2006, a Wall Street Journal reporter noted that Grayson was a vehement critic of the war in Iraq and that his car was "emblazoned" with bumper stickers such as "Bush lied, people died

And I'll continue to donate to congressman like Alan Grayson.

Just what we needed. I am sick and tired of politicians & media treating Republican obstructionism as serious debate. Call it out. There are a lot of people who should be making that apology to the dead.

My hero, for speaking truth and giving power to it! He was right, he was right, he was right! Those who oppose health-care are the bought-out prostitutes in Congress, and right now their opposition has more to do with keeping their own Corporate pimps happy than with "serving the public interests"!

Mr. Grayson you have the cojones of our convictions, maybe you should share some with the "turn-coat democrats" that sit on your side of the aisle!

I wish to wholeheartedly thank Repugs for shooting themselves in the foot by demanding an apology from a Democrat who refuses to back down. If they had just ignored Grayson the rest of us would have never heard of a Democrat who refuses to bend over. Once again Repugs keep up the good work.

His kid's names:

Skye, Star, Sage, Storm, Stone

That's a little too close to The Alaskan Breeder's brood of Trig, Hig, Pig, Jig and Poopoo.

and..

He had a really cool beard that he shaved off - I guess to be more telegenic and acceptable to the voting retards out there.

==========================

Anyway, those aside he's a bright shining star and should be nicely positioned when Obama steps down after his second term.
Note also he's recorded as the 12th richest person in the House (estimated at $35m) so he doesn't need to brown nose anybody for fear of losing his Seat, that frees him up to attack whenever it's needed.

More people die with health insurance. Denied treatment, miss diagnosed, currupt Insurance Companies and Doctors. The insured still can not afford their deductables so they don't go to the Doctor or get appopriate tests.

Ask the people not the Doctors, Insurance Companies or the rich and greedy politicans.

Grayson is genuinely the biggest idiot of Florida...even dumber than the voters of West Palm Beach or the vote counters. This poor soul wanted his name in the papers and this is his first success. What a bamboozler.

Finally, for one fine moment, another Senator takes hold of his great responsibility and does so in public (Sen. Franken being another in his recent justifiable smackdown of the hysterical and unhinged extremist Right--a group who has zero concept of what "great responsibility" is).

Now if we can get the "great orator" to do the same...
