Re: President Barack Obama presenting the Medal of Freedom to Joseph Medicine Crow

I cried when I saw this live on TV yesterday, and I clapped out loud with the people in the audience to show my support.

I eagerly waited for the great 'progressive' Keith Obermann to comment on the first Native American to be granted the Medal of Freedom. No mention.

Surly Rachel Maddow will comment on the great sacrifices Native Americans have given for this nation. No mention. Wow that was disappointing.

I guess MSNBC doesn't want to record the honoring of a Native American, they covered it when Bush gave the award to war criminals. Wow. I wonder how they would have treated it if it was the first gay tennis player to get the honor.

Or the first black.

Don't anyone tell me MSNBC is progressive, it is a big lie. Progressive is the values of Native America.

So I turned off the TV and checked Indian Country online where they regularly have ads to work for the CIA. No mention there either. Well maybe today, I haven't checked yet.

So where is the first place I see this great honor mentioned? HuffPost finds it fitting, for use as a joke.

That really offended me. It reminds me of the time they were laughing on FOXN about how native men have the shortest life-spans in the country. I know what genocide looks and sounds like, it is white men laughing.

offensive picture

I noticed yesterday David Schuster and Tamarin Hall (checked the website for her name spelling, they are not listed) were using the slogan "the big picture" making me think they were chatting with me the day before. Just one of those things.

They mentioned it. I missed enough of Ed's and Chris' shows to not know for sure. Chris was pissing me off.

I think it is indescribably rude of MSNBC to ignore Native Americans like they do. I think it looks a great deal like they are Catholic about it.

Is the management of MSNBC going to argue, like Borders Bookstores does, that discriminating against Native Americans is perfectly OK? Because we all know it is a good way to make money.

Look at the picture Huffington Post puts up, you can't even see the medal. Like they don't want it in the picture. I find that really offensive.
