Government Blows $300M on Military Robots by Man Who Builds Vacuums

The government gave iRobot CEO Colin Angle, creator of the cutest vacuum on earth, the Roomba, $300 million dollars to develop futuristic robots for military use. So Jon Stewart sent the Daily Show's Samantha Bee to investigate what just might be the beginning of the Robotapocalypse.

A cheap price

this actually makes a lot of sense. Consider bombs in public facilities, schools, buildings on fire etc- robots can go in instead of people to do a check of the building.

Robots can play a significant part of forward battle areas.. They can scout instead of having a person go into houses etc..

If you're the guy /gal about to have to do a check in a house in Iraq, you'd think $300 mil was a worthwhile price to pay!

Misguided science at it's worst, furthering the cause of Corporatism (Fascism). This guy is the Dr. Mengele of robotics. What's next? Live fire exercises on persons deemed "unfit"??? Boycott his damn corporation and do your OWN damn vacuuming!

This was a very funny bit but seemed weak in the street cred department. A little too cute? Snopes, anyone?
