The world has seen the infamous pictures from Abu Ghraib, and we've heard George W. Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, and military brass blame it all on a small handful of "bad apples" going rogue on the night shift. But in all that whitewash, the voices of the soldiers in those photos, the people who really know what happened at Abu Ghraib and served time for it, were lost, drowned out, or silenced. And those are the voices you finally get to hear in Errol Morris' impressive 2008 documentary, Standard Operating Procedure.

What Sarah Palin's "Jewish people will be flocking to Israel" prediction really means
Palin's associated with a religious tendency whose leaders promote anti-Jewish conspiracy theory

Hmmm ... Why Do So Many Wingnuts Have Such an Obsessive Fear of Being Raped?
It's all they can talk about in the right-wing media.

Sarah Palin Running for President ... of Facebook?
Ana Marie Cox and Naomi Klein point out that Sarah Palin seems to be campaigning for President. But of what?

Yet to find out what SOP is for "Black Prisons"

What happen to all those shipped out to undisclosed "Black Prisons"??
If the torture at Abu Ghraib was not sufficient enough to gain 'intellegence', what were the alternatives sites methods???
If the Obama Admin does not give th ego ahead to investigate not only Abu Ghraib & Gitmo atrocities, but also those 'contracted' out to other countries, We will suffer from 'terror' attacks for decades to come.
what once was a reaction to international policy or Corp Criminality will become a personal vendetta to even those who would otherwise not been inclined to seek retribution. there has alsready been a increase in female sucicide bombers....How many more will seek revenge for the acts committed against their Brothers, son or Husband?
We have already witnessed the effects of politicalsocio-economic revenge,But have yet to see what will result when it becomes Personal.
WE Must Prosecute those who developed and ordered Torture techniques to be used, not to just save 'Face',but to save American Lives.

I read one of your ubiquitous posts about your "we the peoples lobby" and perhaps it's a good idea but again I see your call to get more cops on the beat to which I say no thank you very much.

After all the recent reports of "cops gone wild" with tasers and most recently the murder-by-cop of a black man while he was lying face down on the ground with his hands behind him I think your idea to put more armed napoleans on the street, especially with rumors of martial law percolating all over the internet, identifies you as a troll pretending to be for justice and people's rights.

The last thing this country needs is to put more people on the gov't payroll ("we the people's" tax dollars) with a license to kill average citizens.

Outrageous calls for sympathy on behalf of criminal American soldiers

Placing blame solely on the administration and excusing these sick bastard soldiers for their crimes is no more acceptable than excusing the administration and tossing these rednecks in jail. This video is outrageous! How dare anyone attempt to excuse the likes of Lindy England, who obviously thoroughly enjoyed her campaigns of torture and abuse of Iraqi civilians? We are supposed to believe that Iraqis and Muslims who fight invading armies are “taught to hate” yet feel sympathy and compassion for American rednecks who photograph torture and war crimes against Iraqi civilians? Clearly it is Americans who are “taught to hate” and it is Americans who relish and rejoice in the torment and criminal abuse of other people, yet you dare to demand empathy on behalf of these people, pointing out their inexperience. I would like to know exactly what inexperience has to do with the sexual molestation of Iraqi men in what is clearly a party atmosphere complete with posed photographs featuring giddy Americans. These soldiers knew exactly what they were doing and that these were Iraqi civilians, they simply did it anyway, out of hatred and sheer depravity. None of these people are innocent victims of anything.
