This. Is. Ridiculous.

The Ohio man, who became famous during the U.S. presidential campaign after asking Barack Obama about his tax plan, is heading to Israel as a war correspondent for a conservative website called pjtv.com.

[...]

Wurzelbacher says he'll spend 10 days covering the fighting and explaining why Israeli forces are mounting attacks against Hamas.

He tells WNWO-TV in Toledo that he wants "go over there and let their 'Average Joes' share their story."

Let's not forget the time Joe agreed with a McCain supporter who asked him if he believed a vote for Obama was a vote for the death of Israel. Joe's positive response was so outrageous that even Fox News' own Shep Smith took him to task for it:

More from the AP.

Update: A local television station's report on Joe's career change via Think Progress:

Just let him parachute in to Gaza City! Put a camera in his hands and let him go for it!

And, please, encourage him to spout his wing-nut bullshit, while he's at it!

Is it just me, or is there something about Joe that's a little Gannon-esque? Not that there's anything wrong with that.

This is not funny! This is tragic! Joe will be so happy to report that there is no water in Gaza, all plumbing has been blown to smithreens and somebody will be hiring a Super-Plumber to get the water supply and distribution re-instated! Joe probably believes that with his planned reports which are expected to be 'more Israeli-than-Israeli' would get him the jobs for rehabilitation of the plumbing in Gaza! But, he is forgetting the obvious! The Jews do not GIVE contracts to the Gentile, they TAKE contracts! One thing is sure, Joe will be funnier to watch, funnier than the lying-to-the-teeth Israeli and American Mainstream Media jokers. At least with Joe the Plumber the viewers will not puke, knowing what and who Joe is!

All morning CNN has been gushing about Joe the Plumber going to the war zone. Big brave Joe is going to be a war correspondant!

HA! Then we learn that he is going to Israel. He's not putting his ugly arse in Gaza where, for sure, he would end up in a rubbish pile where he probably belongs.

Joe The Plumber to Get Cabinet Job

Judging by the kind of appointments Obama is making to please Wall St at the expense of Main St and the right wing, I predict that Joe will get a cabinet appointment (maybe Sec of Commerce)

from IDF and publish/broadcast on US MSM?

This is what all the MSM journalists do when reporting on Israeli war-crimes. Why shouldn't Joe the Plumber cash on the same fraud?

This got its obligatory ten minutes on CNN this morning. Joe the Bigot got more publicity. Some whacko made-up "internet news" site got free publicity. Of course he's repulsive. What's far more repulsive and dangerous is a media that treats this as straight-faced news, rather than truthfully reporting that some extremist whackos hired a dumb baldheaded bigot as part of a PR stunt.

flush Joe the plumber down the toilet?

Gag, this guy makes me want to puke. In his Fox "news" interview above, he can not come up with one decent reason why electing Obama would be the "death of Israel," but he keeps insisting it is true.

Is that why Obama's first appointment was Rahm Emmanuel?

Granny's crazy videos = Go get a chuckle!

What bothers me about this whole "Joe the Plumber" thing is that there are qualified, hard working and well educated people out there who can't get work.

I understand, for example that Joe the Plumber has a book deal. I have been writing for over a decade, and I can't get a book deal. What about all the deeply committed, struggling writers out there who really want the work? Furthermore, what about those of us who enjoy reading, and are starved for good literature?

I don't want to read this moron's book, but I know that some well written, sensitive and in depth book, written by someone with cogent arguments and well thought out points of view will be deprived of the needed shelf space and resources so as to make room for his idiocy.

Aren't there an equal number of journalism students who would jump at this opportunity?

Shaq was a great basketball player and a lousy actor. Joe may or may not have been a great plumber, but I think he'll make a lousy writer, and an even worse journalist.

DG

Perhaps Joe will specialize in "leaks" and we will find out something the MSM won't tell us. And maybe pigs with lipstick will fly over the frozen ice of hell. I have long been reconciled to the fact that America loves sensationalism, but this is absurd.

the heading said it was about Joe the Plumber. You were expecting some in-depth expose, maybe? Nobody made you open the link! Come on, you know you wanted something more to gripe about today ....

Anyway, we all got a chance to lighten up for a moment. The story didn't take long to read, the responses certainly didn't take long to write (even though there were plenty, nobody sprained a neuron thinking about it), and when we hear in a week or two that he got a butt-crack full of shrapnel, we can't say we didn't know he was even there!

As for a real job ?? oh, come on! that's not a real job. Just something his agent got for him so he could earn his fees before flushing this professional mistake down the toilet. However, I do urge folks not to check out the website, because then you'll become one of the hits they will use to prove how popular they are!

Okay, I'm done with the potty puns. Now we can get back to more serious matters and put our cranky faces back on.

This definitely qualifies as the weirdest article I've seen all day. God help us! Just what the Middle East needs--another dipshit, uneducated, prone to asininity, fanatical wingnut. There will, unfortunately, always be a nutjob organization willing to capitalize & take advantage of such people. Joe's stretching out his "15 minutes." It's a job, I guess.
