Can the McCain/Palin campaign EVER stop screwing up? Some reporters from a FOX affiliate went over to the estate sale at the McCain/Palin headquarters looking for some bargains, and they got a LOT more than they paid for:

The hottest item? Blackberry phones at $20 a piece. There were only 10 left. All of the batteries had died. There were no chargers for sale. But people were snatching them up. So, we bought a couple.

And ended up with a lot more than we bargained for.

When we charged them up in the newsroom, we found one of the $20 Blackberry phones contained more than 50 phone numbers for people connected with the McCain-Palin campaign, as well as hundreds of emails from early September until a few days after election night. (snip)

We called some of the numbers.

“Somebody made a mistake,” one owner told us. “People’s numbers and addresses were supposed to be erased.”

“They should have wiped that stuff out,” another said. But he added, “Given the way the campaign was run, this is not a surprise.”

Hard to believe that a campaign that can’t even run a garage sale was only a few million votes away from being given the responsibility of running one of the most powerful countries in world history. Guess McCain wasn’t up on the new versions of the Blackberry since he invented it.

Digg!

that had McStain been elected, it would have been more of the same eight years we've already endured.

You know, you can't make this stuff up. Pathetic.

When I was laid off from my last job a couple of months ago, even I had the smarts to clean out all the messages and addresses before turning over my cell phone.

I guess that the rats fleeing the sinking ship didn't have time. Typical Republican inability to take responsibility I suppose.

LET'S PAUSE FOR A MOMENT AND REFLECT ON HOW FORTUNATE WE ARE THAT THE BUSH-CHENEY-ROVE PEOPLE WERE NOT ABLE TO STEAL ANOTHER ELECTION, ALTHOUGH GOD KNOWS THEY TRIED THEIR BEST. EIGHT YEARS OF BUSH AND HIS TOADY SUPREME COURT AND THE RIGHTS OF AMERICANS WOULD BE FURTHER ERODED, PROBABLY NON-EXISTENT; AND THE DINOSAUR AND HIS CUTIE-PIE MOOSEKILLER WOULD BE BARGING IN TO COMPLETE THE DESTRUCTION OF OUR CONSTITUIONAL RIGHTS. I THOUGHT ONCE BEFORE THAT THIS COUNTRY WAS DOWN THE DRAIN--THAT WAS WHEN NIXON WAS RE-ELECTED--BUT THE CHICKENS FINALLY CAME HOME TO ROOST THEN WITH THE WATERGATE BURGLARY. AFTER EIGHT YEARS OF CRIMINAL ACTIVITY IN THE HIGHEST ECHELONS OF GOVERNMENT, WE HAVE ONCE AGAIN BEEN GRANTED A CHANCE TO RECOVER SOME REMNANTS OF OUR DEMOCRACY. I HOPE WE'LL BE ABLE TO DO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT CHANCE. IF WE DON'T, "SEND NOT TO KNOW FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS."

These are the kind of losers that get to within a heartbeat of ruling the world. Christ! How can democracy endure with a bunch of incompetent, lying and cheating assholes running the parties, the candidates and finally the country?
