"I am very proud. I am proud to be a woman, I'm proud to be a black woman, and I'm proud to be gay. And I love you all. Now let's go get our damn equal rights!"—Wanda Sykes, coming out at the Las Vegas Prop 8 protest and announcing she and her wife were married in California in October. (Via.)

I didn't think I could love her even more after she called herself a feminist on The Tonight Show; I was wrong.

I've always loved Wanda, now I find out I have no chance with her at all, because she prefers women. Just one more thing we have in common.

I remember years ago making playful advances toward a woman friend, whom I knew to be gay. When she informed me that the very thought of sex with a straight male made her want to puke, I said, "It's always affected me the same way", and she laughed her butt off.

It doesn't matter to me who you prefer to live with, Wanda, I'd still like to give you a big hug.

Sad that in this day and age, silly laws are passed based on religion and basically, hate. I am a white heterosexual male, and I find it disgusting that people that would outlaw another's rights. This is on par with slavery for the level of disrespect for one's civil rights.

Like she mentioned....why is it illegal for people to be in love?

Didn't he say "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians do not behave like your Christ." to some Westerner? It has never been said better.
