Debate Was an Open Book Test for Palin

No wonder I was confused about Sarah Palin's body language. She didn't just sound like she was heavily scripted. She sounded like she was reading cue cards or even a tele-prompter.

Because the cable and network television stations did not show a split screen of the debate, most viewers could not see that, during Joe Biden’s answers, Palin spent almost all her time looking down and studiously reading her notes. But viewers did see that when Palin delivered her answers, she would repeatedly glance down to check her talking points.

ThinkProgress has compiled a video documenting some of the instances where it was clear to the audience that Palin was propped up by written responses.

What's outrageous is that I actually questioned my judgment and bias when I mentioned last night that it looked like she was reading off cards. I couldn't fathom her reading off cue cards she'd have hidden in her jacket.

Wow.

Digg!

It's because Sarah Palin was reading out of 'cue cards', she will be elected as V.P and then take over from MacBush, sooner than the dumb US electorates expect or imagine. Once in the Oval Office, she will read out of and act on other 'cue cards' to be provided to her by Warlords like Oil,Defense Industry, AIPAC & Wall Street lords, similar to the warlords & druglords in Afghanistan but more refined and less visible. Ever since Gipper the one thing which endears Republican presidential candidates most to these lords is subserveance and the most subservient are those whose upper chambers are VACANT and the lords can read the following on their foreheads: FOR RENT TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER!

and this is somehow a surprise??? the woman speaks in "tongues", not english, for gosh sake, goldarn it!wink, wink, insert cute gesture here.

of course she had to read off cards. she is incapable of answering direct questions, so was given her talking points. At the very beginning of the so-called debate, she told the moderator, biden and the rest of the world that she wasn't going to answer any questions, just "talk directly to the american people." code for, "darn it, gee golly, i really haven't got a clue. so i'll just read this stuff carl gave me to say to mollify everyone into thinking i can actually think on my feet and also, gee here, uh, let them know mc caine is my daddy."

I was just wondering how this flibberty-jibbet will stand up against the testosterone of the Russian Leaders. Should be an interesting show! Putin will slap her as* and tell her to get back in the kitchen and don't burn the water.

I thought that she was, just as George II was wired for his debates. If you look at her right ear, there is a bright line, the outline of a transparent earpiece from her glasses into her ear. If this was so obvious, why does no one see it or at least question her about it?

Do you suppose the cue cards were written the way she delivered them?
I kept thinking she was speaking a combination of Yoda(without wisdom) and an English teacher's worst nightmare, (also)
A remarkable percent of her sentences end with prepositions.(also)
There is a witticism that suggests "If you can't impress with facts, dazzle with bullsh*t" (also)

She very rarely wears her hair down like that. ( maybe only another woman would think of that-I don't know.)That would be more camoflauge for something like that. Go to huffpo for more on this. People with HD tvs said they saw something suspicious.

Of course she was reading from cue cards. That was one of the first things I noticed. Bidden was very presidental, correct posture, relaxed, & eyes forward; communicating honestly with the audience. But that woman was consistently diverted her eyes from the audience & repeatedly looking down, obviously reading as she answered; deceptive behavior to say the least
As cheat sheets are against the rules, I have to wonder why it was allowed. Can you imaging the meltdown had the moderator walked over & pulled that woman's cheat sheet, much as any high school instructor would have done?

there is no need to limit her exposure to the press then, right? Put her on Rachel Maddow's show for an evening and lets see how she does on there. Women journalist will be the best test for her because they do not have to worry about being accused of being condescending or sexist.

Who cares

Gov. Sarah Palin was or was not reading from note cards during the Vice Presidential debate.

Who cares? What difference does it make. The woman has been a national figure for five weeks, it is not a bad thing for her to use memory aides.

What the left needs to focus on is that Sarah Palin is very likely to be the first woman to win a major party nomination for the US Presidency.

With four more years of seasoning as Alaska's Governor, and four years to campaign and build up a national network of supporters, what will Sarah be able to accomplish in 2012?

During the Vice Presidential debate, Governor Palin was most impressive when discussing her own record and accomplishments as a mayor and governor.

Throughout her time as a national campaigner, Governor Palin's awkwardness has been caused by the requirement to justify President Bush's record and support Senator McCain.

Campaigning on her own behalf for the 2012 GOP Presidential nomination and against President Obama, we will see a much more self-assured and inspiring person in Sarah Palin.

If the left goes to far in mocking Sarah in this campaign, they will destroy their credibility in opposing her on the merits in the next campaign. We should take her seriously and study her record.

Any attacks on Governor Palin should stem from her actions as a public official and from her espousal of hard right conservative doctrine. The gratituous attacks on her intelligence, her family and her background will backfire and win strong public sympathy for Sarah when she runs for the Presidency in 2012.

I hope that we do not shoot ourselves in the foot and give Sarah Palin the same advantage of misunderestimation that we so generously bestowed upon GW Bush.

Republican walking cue cards

Of course she was rehearsed, reading cue cards and prepped, she is the new quarterback for the conservatives. If the Republican party could only hold their leadership the way they judge liberals, they would be a righteous movement, otherwise, the conservative movement in America is simply embarrassing and material for comedy. Where has American dignity and real pride in the country gone? Why not just sell the country to the Arabs, they own a good chunk already?

Gov. Sarah Palin was or was not reading from note cards during the Vice Presidential debate.

Who cares? What difference does it make?-------------------------------

Mr. Chapman, you should care. You should care that your leadership is not a puppet and can articulate. To be able to stand on their own true belief systems and character, otherwise you risk buying something you might not like in the end. What happened to McCain’s heroic character of looking the enemy in the eye? Is he scared of Obama? Is it hate? Is it racism? Like most Republicans, you seem to be in a fairy tale land where no matter how many deaths, debt incurred, unemployment or home losses, you won’t budge out of foolish pride and see the destruction of your “life, liberty and pursuit of Wall Street happiness”. A wise man changes his mind, a fool does not! Haven’t you learned anything from these past eight years? Note how Palin glared into the camera instead of her opponent. Is that a zombie or not?

The woman has been a national figure for five weeks; it is not a bad thing for her to use memory aides.-------------------------------------------

The woman is a national joke. Conservatives sure don’t ask for much in their leadership. Reagan wasn’t allowed the “excuses” of memory aides and was held to criticism even as he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

What the left needs to focus on is that Sarah Palin is very likely to be the first woman to win a major party nomination for the US Presidency.-------

What the right needs to focus on is better leadership! Why McCain couldn’t at least selected another veteran, female or not?

With four more years of seasoning as Alaska's Governor, and four years to campaign and build up a national network of supporters, what will Sarah be able to accomplish in 2012?-------------------------------------------

Would if a better candidate surfaces and makes Palin look like Britney Spears? You already have her in the whitehouse. Is this a common symptom of Republican dependency versus democratic independence?

During the Vice Presidential debate, Governor Palin was most impressive when discussing her own record and accomplishments as a mayor and governor.------------------------------------------------

Anyone can shovel their own sh&t! The question is, “Why couldn’t she tackle a simple debate truly on her own intellect and words without help?” This is for second in command, do you not feel the nation deserves better leadership than a person who may not actually believe in their own judgment and strength or does MCain and Palin actually reflect our own American inferiorities as human and not God-like?

Throughout her time as a national campaigner, Governor Palin's awkwardness has been caused by the requirement to justify President Bush's record and support Senator McCain.------------------------------

Awkwardness is no excuse; we already have an awkward President and a greedy VP now! Do we need more of the same?

Campaigning on her own behalf for the 2012 GOP Presidential nomination and against President Obama, we will see a much more self-assured and inspiring person in Sarah Palin. If the left goes too far in mocking Sarah in this campaign, they will destroy their credibility in opposing her on the merits in the next campaign. We should take her seriously and study her record.---------------------------------------------

Robert Chapman, America needs good leadership now and this is no time to “nurse” Sarah Palin into “My Fair Sarah!”.
Aren’t you somewhat of a hypocrite when Hillary ran, she was demonized as a female, an Arkansan and an articulate woman? Now conservatives treat Palin like she’s something new in an old game!

Any attacks on Governor Palin should stem from her actions as a public official and from her espousal of hard right conservative doctrine. The gratuitous attacks on her intelligence, her family and her background will backfire and win strong public sympathy for Sarah when she runs for the Presidency in 2012.-----------------------------------------------

As a public official, Palin has a long history of ethics violations on and off the job. She has a trail of terminated employees that are now talking. She, within two years time, has flip flopped on policies in Alaska. Has zero foreign knowledge without her recent photo ops at the UN and believes in witchcraft by having demons “exorcised” out of her! Would if the demons come back Mr. Chapman?

If Palin is as tight with God as she lets on, then it was God's responsibility to give her the answers on the spot. Either God was laying down on the job, or Sarah has exaggerated her access to the Almighty.

If there is one thing the GOP is good at, it is cheating or 'faking it'.
I strongly suspect this is how most of them made it through college. It's no wonder they tackle everything in this same manner.
