Here's your red meat for the day. Cenk Uygur of the Young Turks demands that every editor be fired over the fact that half of America still believes 9/11 and Saddam are connected.

For the record, they are not. At all. In any meaningful way.

Digg!

The best way to bring this issue to the front is to start a motion demanding that Hussein be extradited to the U.S. to be tried for his involvement. It would force the government and media to admit that he wasn't.

It is a total failure of our press and of our larger political system that these false beliefs would be so prominent. The main stream media is pure propaganda. Welcome to american fascism!

Here's how:
But not the way THEY would have it...
9/11 was implemented/staged so we could go into Iraq. There's your 'connection'.

And it's all just the beginning. The globalist-terrorists want to reign over a charred civilization. I imagine they have full radiation protection. Watch and see.

Cenk Uygur speaks for me! Yes, I am just as outraged as he is! Open you windows and scream it from the rooftops "Sadam had NOTHING to do with 9/11!"

Finally, someone somewhere standing up to Big Media, and at least trying to hold them to answer for their role in leading the US into the Iraq war.

Where the consequences of such a Lie have such humungous repercussions - -- the billions of dollars costs and the thousands and thousands of human beings' lives lost and destroyed, --- surely there has to be some way of addressing the role of the Big Presenters of that original lie.

We're not talking about some personal injustice or someone being slandered or someone losing a few million dollars or a few lives, but the disruption of the entire world in one way or another. Yet the liars continue their spin, unchecked and unchallenged, -- - Is Cenk the David to Goliath Media?

And Scholastic/ABC team up too for more 'learning'

Per Media Matters, Scholastic/ABC will produce 'educational' materials to 'stimulate' discussion of 911. Now this. Brecht put it right, the State has thrown up it's hands and just decided (by the great decider) to elect a new People.

It's making me re-think about all those 'connect-the-dot' puzzles from way back when. All connecting the dots gets one is connected dots.

The main reason is that over 50% of the American people are fucking stupid, uneducated, and illiterate. They have no minds of their own. It’s unfortunate but true, over 50% of Americans have no idea what is in their own self interest. If people don’t understand that Jesus was a liberal we are in big trouble politically.

Cenk totally misses a vital truth about Americans and their "beliefs".

It isn't the fault of "editors" that Americans say there's a connection between Saddam and 9/11.

And it isn't just that Americans are "uneducated" "stupid" or any of the other things implied by Mr Cenk or explicitly posted here.

Nor is it just that the Bushites intended to go into Iraq, regardless of the truth of 9/11 (and MAY have initiated 9/11, or allowed it to happen, themselves).

No, it's much deeper and more fundamental than that.

America WANTED to attack SOMEBODY, because "we were attacked!" Think how many times you heard someone say that phrase in the lead-up to the Iraq war. "WE WERE ATTACKED!"

Afghanistan just wasn't enough. We (not you and me, but US) relished "shock and awe" against a familiar enemy --- Saddam Hussein. Many people felt that our first war against him was something we didn't finish. (A kind of "coitus interruptus" of blood thirst!)

NOW, of course, we have to RATIONALIZE what we have done. The easiest way to do that is to blame Saddam for 9/11.

People aren't really too "stupid" or "uneducated" to know the truth. THEY JUST DON'T WANT TO SEE IT.

Nothing that you or I, or the media, or anti-Bush politicians, or anyone else, may say will make any difference.

We've destroyed Iraq (Ye-ah! Mess-with-the-best, die-like-the-rest, dammit!). And a great many Americans LOVE it!

Of course, American self-image demands that we see ourselves as "good," so we had to have a "good" reason to destroy Iraq.

Voila, SADDAM DID IT! (Mission accomplished.)
