Sick: Operation Rescue Founder Launches 'Defeat Sotomayor' Tour, Including Press Conference at Dr. Tiller Clinic

Randall Terry, founder of the right-wing extremist group Operation Rescue, has announced a twelve-city tour intended to convince senators that “[t]o refuse to filibuster [Sotomayor] is to bow in abject obedience to the Angel of Death.” The graphic depicted to the right is taken from a flier promoting the event, which claims:

“We must stop permitting this hypocrisy, cowardice, and treachery in our midst. Pro-life voters are calling on pro-life Senators to filibuster Sotomayor.

“A Senator cannot say, ‘I want to overturn Roe,’ and then vote to confirm a Supreme Court Judge that will uphold Roe. A vote to confirm Sotomayor is a vote to uphold Roe.

Many senators use pro-life rhetoric to seduce us; they get our money, our volunteer labor, and our votes. But once an election is over, they discard us like an embarrassing mistress. . . . Whether they ‘have the votes’ to sustain a filibuster or not, they need to fight to stop her, for the sake of the babies who will die under her judicial reign.

Sadly, such rhetoric is relatively tame by Terry’s extremist standards. Terry refused to condemn the recent killing of abortion provider Dr. George Tiller, instead calling him a “mass-murderer” who “did not have time to properly prepare his soul to face God.” Terry also once went on the radio to pray for a Colorado abortion provider to be executed; two days later, that doctor was found dead.

***UPDATE***

Wednesday, Terry's anti-Sotomayor tour will feature a press conference, held at the late Dr. Tiller's former office, "[c]alling on Senator Brownback to lead the Filibuster against Sotomayor."

... what he really means is "shoot her", right? His record speaks loud and clear. I hope the public in Kansas will finally react to these thugs who think that all is fair if you are defending "baybees" (the unborn kind--once it's born they don't give a damn).

The turning point came in 2006 elections after the Terry Schaivo fiasco. Randall Terry and company have been reduced to vandalism, violence and threats of violence. This ghoulish poster is just more of the same along with the posters of the catsup coated dismembered dolls.

Against abortion? Don't have one.

The noise in the senate is barely upbringing nonsense thing. They need the silence that will give them sane mind. They don't take as long as credit cards to pay off, so easy loans could be a real help at times.

Please someone Explain to me when God turned over his Power of Judgement to the Holey Rollers? If God wanted Tiller or any other provider Dead- He could have easiliy done so without the aid of mere mortals. Tiller would have had a Fatal single car accident, had a heart attack. Seems to me these folks have decided God has slacked off on His Duties and have seized the right to judgement and punishment for themselves.
Let's be honest since the 'Almighty' is not reliant on the acts of Man, who is? Who requires mere mortals to act on it's behalf- to not only instill fear and hatred but carry out the violation of 'Thou Shall not kill'. I don't recall any (*) stating 'except when it comes to those who terminate pregancies'. In fact God terminates pregnancies on a regualr basis himself- Still births and miscarriages. So those granted the Gift of Life must have some purpose in His 'Grand Design'. Perhaps Dr. Tiller would have negated the birth of the AntiChrist? But of course if the Birth of the Anti Christ is sought to fulfill a "prophecy" made by a mortal (no different than Nostradamus) then killing him was a pre- requisite. Lets not forget the Anti Christs arrival is as sacred as the 'Saviors'- otherwise No 'Rapture' bus will arrive.
Really who's agenda would be more readily fulfilled by those who proclaim their allegience to 'Guns and God'- Zeus was a God, so the Term 'God' is relative to who you worship and serve."Could it be Satan?"
A mans Worth (and allegience) is measured by his Actions not his Words.

For "family values"

extracted from Wiki:
"In the early 1980s, Terry married Cindy Dean, a woman he had met in Bible school. In 1985, he met a woman who had borne her second child in prison and was planning an abortion rather than bear a third. Terry persuaded her to continue the pregnancy and a daughter named Tila was born later that year. In 1987, Cindy and Randall Terry had a daughter together whom they named Faith. In March 1988, they took in Tila, then aged three, and her siblings Jamiel, 8, and Ebony, 12, as foster children. All three are biracial; their mother was white. Terry formally adopted the two younger children in 1994 and began describing his family on his résumé as: "Children: One by birth and three black foster children," although Ebony had left home at the age of 16 in 1991. Ebony, who was not adopted by Terry, uses the surname Whetstone, but both Jamiel and Tila took and retain the surname Terry.

Though she was only 16 when she left home, Ebony Whetstone soon became pregnant and would eventually have two children outside of marriage. She converted to Islam, a religion her father has preached is composed of "murderers" and "terrorists." In 2004, Terry described his relationship with Ebony as "good." However, Terry banned Tila from his home after she became pregnant outside of marriage twice by age 18; her first pregnancy ended in miscarriage.

He has also banished his adopted son. In 1998, when Terry was running for Congress and accused of racism, his son Jamiel stepped forward to defend him. In 2000, Jamiel worked with his father on Steven Forbes' campaign for the Republican nomination for U.S. President, and campaigned with his father against gay marriage in Vermont In 2004, Jamiel publicly announced that he was gay and wrote an article for Out Magazine for which he was paid $2,500. Terry contends much of the article was written by other people and most of the statements purported to be facts in the article were untrue. Terry promptly disowned his son and claimed that he had "prostituted" the family name. He attributed Jamiel's sexuality to his biological mother, saying that she was a prostitute. Jamiel's response was, "My father's first and foremost aim is to protect himself. He talks about how I prostitute the family's name, but he's used the fact that he saved my sister from abortion and rescued me from hardship in his speeches and interviews. What's the difference?"

When he learned in 2004 that his son was giving an interview about his orientation to the Washington Post, Terry pre-empted Jamiel by writing an essay, My Prodigal Son, the Homosexual, which was published on Terry's own website and several other websites, rejecting his son and referring to his life as "a shambles."

In 2000, Terry divorced his wife of 19 years, Cindy, and married his former church assistant, Andrea Sue Kollmorgen. Kollmorgen, born circa 1976, was approximately 25 at the time of their nuptials; Terry is 17 years older. As a consequence of the divorce, the home on 119 acres where he had lived with Cindy and their four children was to be sold. His decision to divorce in 2000 to marry the youthful Kollmorgen was unfavorably contrasted in the mainstream press to his own stern judgment expressed in his 1995 book, The Judgment of God: "Families are destroyed as a father vents his mid life crisis by abandoning his wife for a 'younger, prettier model.' " His sentiments against divorce had been so strong that when his own parents divorced, "Randall refused to let his children speak with their grandfather for three years," according to interviews with the family done by the Washington Post."

Does the acronym POS spring to mind?

We just drove east through Kansas along route 70. Almost every farm had an anti abortion sign along the highway. I was really impressed (or depressed) by the stupidity of the people in this state, and couldn't wait to leave. I will never go back there.

May I suggest that we have an artist do a skeleton portrait of Randall Terry...with title yet to be made. This in balance as to what he is characterizing Ms. Sotomayor. This should not go unattended.

I urge everyone to google the name Randall Terry and go to the Wikipedia website entry on this wretched excuse for a human. To all of those who posted along the lines of: Terry is Sick!, one can come to no other conclusion after reading the Wiki article. Sick doesn't do him justice. He is a piece of work the likes we have not seen since Joseph Goebbels.

This is teriible and the fact that we all sit back and just let it happen doesn't say alot about us. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but for God's sake the First Amendment was not meant to give a person freedom to say ANYTHING and then also be shielded by such actions. Is there no sense of responsibility? Try to imagine that his words and that poster were a family member or friend. Think about why we allow this hate and lies. Are we any better for NOT taking a stand?

Who's handing out the Holy Press Pass to these arrogant fascists?
The sickest part of the delusion is the complete denial you have to wrap yourself in to be this completely far gone. Jonestown levels of twisted manipulation aimed outwards leaves us as a prejudged army of blasphemers with targets on our backs for these hate filled criminals. God has NOTHING to do with it. These are serial killers with a forged license that never applied to begin with. Before there were doctors, there were midwives who used their knowledge of herbology and the human body passed down from mother to mother over generations to aid in aborting pregnancies for all kinds of reasons, including defects, rape during war, to name a couple. That knowledge was lost during the switch to a patriarchal system, much to the regret of us all, as we spend time rediscovering a mere fraction of what was destroyed over centuries of "conquering the New World", because of mass extinction and cultivation.
Now we see the end swing of the pendulum as the meek attempt to force the rest of the world to voluntarily gouge out one of it's own eyes to see half truths as gospel and allow those who embrace sin to wreak murder and call it holy.
When God's word is expressed as vitriolic hatred by stone throwing killers,
then God is murdered slowly a thousand times over each day.
And Satan laughs his ass off as he tries to figure out where in Hell he's going to put all these idiots when they die.

Catholic. But, I wonder if he realizes that Josef Mengele, the original Angel of Death, was also a Catholic. Hitler was a Catholic, born and raised; as were about half of his top advisers.

It all seems terribly strange/evil that so many Catholics(my religion) were and are such brutal people. I sometimes wonder if Catholicism may be another Judas Iscariot. Judas betrayed Christ. Is the Catholic Church betraying Gods creation, the Family of Man, just as Judas betrayed Christ.

Over the last 2000yrs the history and politics of the Church has so often been about torture and killing, for Catholic theology. Now, once again, we have the very same thing being done by the likes of Randall Terry.

That kind of theology/Christianity, the world may be better off without.

Her opinion that the United States Constitution's limits do not apply to State, County or Local government should alarm all of us. No first amendment if the city council doesn't like your opinions. No right to a jury trial if the county commission says you don't need it. Think about it. The pro-gun people have it right this time. If the second amendment can be abridged by state or local governments, then so can the rest of the Constitution.
Sotomayor is likely a "Bork" to be rejected and make almost anyone look good by comparison. If race is an issue, there are many brilliant Hispanics in this country. Obama should pick one of them instead.
