Conservative Doctor Valiantly Keeps Women From Becoming Sluts

Who says anti-choice extremists don't care about women? A USA Today article on conscience clauses -- legislation that lets health providers deny patients contraception -- quotes a doctor who obviously has only the best interests of women -- stupid, stupid women -- in mind:

Faced with a request to give an unmarried female patient a prescription for birth control pills, Dr. Michele Phillips looked to her conscience for the answer.

“I’m not going to give any kind of medication I see as harmful,” said Phillips of San Antonio. The drugs would not protect her patient from “emotional trauma from multiple partners,” Phillips reasoned, or sexually transmitted diseases. “I could not ethically give that type of medication to a single woman.”

Unwanted babies, of course, do heal STDs and emotional trauma.

Ab-only until marriage of course!

Well, clearly this doctor received abstinence-only-until-marriage sex education. And with 1996 welfare reform came the ab-only mandate to the tune of $50 million/year. The mandate requires abstinence programs to abide by "A-H" and teaches:
B) abstinence from sexual activity outside marriage as the expected standard for all school-age children;
D) that a mutually faithful monogamous relationship in the context of marriage is the expected standard of human sexual activity;

And, no discussion of contraception ever allowed...is it any wonder she's now a doctor who refuses to distribute pills??

Never mind the shock and trauma that accompanies finding out that you're pregnant to start with.

Never mind the trauma that accompanies carrying that bun in the oven for 9 months, whether you want it or not.

Never mind the the trauma of contractions, labor, possible complications, and always the worry worry worry that there's going to be something that goes wrong.

Never mind the trauma of the actual act of giving birth.

Never mind the trauma of having to now give up any hopes and dreams you might have had so that you can now start taking care of a baby for the next 18+ years.

Yes, yes, the TRAUMA of multiple sexual partners...
FAR worse than having to rear another hungry mouth on an overcrowded world in these uncertain times.

Stupid ditz.

Or you could just have an abortion.
But that's a pretty penny compared to cheap birth control.

Any pharmacy that employs a pharmacist who will not fill prescriptions for "moral" reasons should be required by law to have another pharmacist on duty at all times the "moral" one works who will follow the doctor's recommendations.

Big fucking deal! A story about ONE doctor who doesn't prescribe birth control pills is a pathetic attempt to discredit anyone who thinks for her/him self. There are plenty of other doctors to choose from, so get out there!

It is the simplest solution.

Treat U.S. adults as adults, keep do gooder control freaks out of the equation.

Mexico has been selling prescription drugs over the counter for years.

So we can assume she never issues scrip for any of the heart, kidney, liver, intestinal drugs that ALL have known side effects?

Maybe she should switch to holistic medicine and just work with Native American recipes of birch bark poultices and prairie dog poop enemas...

The USA Today story mentions:

"..After the evangelical Christian refused to write the prescription, she resigned her position. She now does contract work at a faith-based practice that permits her to "prescribe according to my ethical values."

Good riddance.

A QUESTION FOR THE DOCTOR
Posted by: VZEQICVA on Oct 27, 2009 7:05 AM
Current rating: 3    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
Are her reasons for not prescibing birth control pills, (multipal partners, trauma, etc.) stated anywhere by the company that manufactures the pills as 'possible side effects'? Is her conscience a factor in prescribing any ther medication? The doctor is a phoney and probably not a very good physician. Judgement calls aren't part of any accurate diagnosis and have no place in the practice of medicine. ANNA

Clinical Medicine Has No Time For Culture
Posted by: EmilyCragg on Oct 27, 2009 10:55 AM

Prescriptions and procedures all have side effects: any.

And so, one comes to the place where one has to make the choice: is CLINICAL MEDICINE right for me?

Would Divine Intervention work better, to regulate my life than modern Scientism? is a corollary question.

And nothing is a foregone conclusion. Taking cosmic questions in hand requires that we view and experience the consequences of cosmic thinking.

And the REASON we come to confront cosmic thinking is that we find out "mere human reasoning" doesn't do the job of preparing a Soul for Eternity.

My latest "primary care provider" was from India, and his usual question to me in a "visit" was, "What can I do for you today?" Typical NWO mumbo-jumbo. He was not interested in me as a friend would be; it was all about insurance forms and politically-correct prescriptions.

He and I fired each other over an argument we had while I was in hospital.

Doctors VIEW and SEE the consequences of immoral, unethical and careless behavior; they are in a position to narrate effects of each choice.

But they are FORBIDDEN by Federal policy from either having an opinion, or stating their opinion. And so the politicization of medicine demands mere trafficking in disease, not in helping resolve the disputes and conflicts which diseases CAUSE in human relationships.

This civil society is BANKRUPT: morally, ethically and relationally. This NWO civil society is built on lies, myths, fables and wishes of Elites; built on profiteering off the misery that "so-called tolerance" creates in the natural world of human DNA, breeding and sanitation.

Filth has risen to the top, as leadership. And what they want is, humanity largely dead.

It shows as lack of intention to HEAL the world.

:barf:
