War-profiteering assholes. 12 out of the 13 are dead!!!! KBR are responsible.

KBR Contractor Sued.

Their passports were taken from them in Jordan. They were driven over the border into Iraq. They were stopped by Sunni insurgents, kidnapped and 12 were killed. The 13th stated they were held for 15 months against their will (by KBR, not the insurgents).

Whatever diatribes the US administration vomits out,in regard to Russia's recent actions,cannot be heard without a mixture of laughing and crying.
The crude semi-lawless lands of Iraq,complete with puppet regime,are now wide open to the rape and pillage of the conquerers.
There is no doubt that much of the resistance to the "axis of the greedy"could have been avoided.Post "victory"the invaders would have been wiser, to have created a decent economy with high employment,accompanied by an infrastructure providing electricity,gas and water for all at affordable prices.
What the country needed was a social democratic framework,of high investment in public works and reconstruction.
Instead the country resembles a Friedmanite,neo-Chile..where corporations and armed forces rule.More far sighted capitalists,always recognised the value of state intervention,to ameliorate the anger of the masses..These masses now find themselves with not only,a malign prescence on the doorstep,but with less jobs,less water and less food to feed their families.It doesnt help that the burgeoning desire for free trade unions,has been suppressed in post-Saddam Iraq.Many Iraquis thought they'd get freedom,instead they got the free market.The consequences of this greed-fest,will now be reaped, by ordinary Iraquis, and the largely working class coalition troops.
"Give them a little,or they will take the lot " was the rule,when socialism was the main threat in the twentieth century.
In the modern Middle-East,the threat of socialism has been replaced by a twisted form of Islam.Instead of Marx,the more radical of the angry masses seem to prefer the superstition of Mohammed.
A potentially winning situation, has been turned into an unnecessary and bloody mess.This is exacerbated,by the corporate friends of Dubya,who have gone for the big, quick profits model.
