Karl Rove was scheduled to testify before the House Judiciary Committee yesterday. He didn't show. Not only that, the Committee was told that Rove had left the country on a "long scheduled" trip.

In this video clip, Rep. Linda Sanchez explains that Rove never told them about any trip.

What country is he in? Do they realize they are harboring a criminal? He had better be apprehended and brought in immediately.

Wow. He fled the country. He thinks that is going to work? Who will protect him? Wow. I'm so curious, is he in a secure and undisclosed location that only Cheney knows about?

MAYBE he isn't even alive any more.

We must make statements to the world that the fascist games of Bush & his loyal neo-cons are condemned by Congress and ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. As a nation our credibility abroad is lower than Bush's popularity rating. We must rebuild trust and we cannot do that without first asserting a Rule of Law over the Executive Branch of our government.

Could this be a new use for the Ghost Planes? Rove returned to Congress and Rumsfeld to France for war crimes hearings.

The silver lining here is pretty attractive. Going walkies means rove is becoming increasingly terrified of the one thing lowlifes like him, cheney, bush et al have in common: irrelevance. Though he may have some 'political street smarts' he's certainly not intelligent, as he doesn't even realise that by continually drawing attention to himself in his sad attempt to remain significant, he's merely providing more slack for his eventual hanging (figurative I hope, as he and his buddies don't deserve the literal, easy way out).

That's interesting as leaving the country while under subpoena could have additional legal ramifications which would work against Rove in this instance..

The real problem is the Mukasey is in fact no better than Gonzales was when it comes to impartially enforcing our laws...Mukasey is like some third world banana Republic corrupt Attorney General...

The Justice Dept. is in reality nothing more than an extension of the Unitary Executive Branch as is our Supreme Court as well it's a form of coup and the Federalist Society is the glue that keeps this coup de etat in place..

As Hamilton warned in Federalist 78 when the Judiciary leans to or unites with one of the other branches of government then our democracy is in danger...

The Federalist Society favors actually defined the Unitary Executive as being practiced and they have infested our Justice dept. and Federal Court system as well...

This is a coup de etat of sorts one by a small group cabal of corrupt lawyers ( an oxymoron) I know and also false hearted disingenuous disloyal Judges..

Rove's latest scummbaggery is simply a another symptom of the virulent nature of this agenda to destroy the system as designed by our Founding Fathers..

If he left the country there has to be a record of where he went. Also he could be arrested on his return.

Why can't our new national security state find him?

There's a saying in Texas...

Wanted - Dead or Alive.
This seems to be an appropriate course of action:
Put a bounty on his head.
Get together a posse and chase him down, wherever he may be, and bring him to testify under oath.
Mr. Bush's ""Brain" doesn't recognize the US Constitution or International law. It's time for the US Congress to follow suit and chase down the criminals who commit Treason and smoke 'em out and bring 'em to Justice, borders be damned.
There's another saying, not originally from Texas, but I'm sure all good Texas Christians know it - Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I'm sure the Bush administration wouldn't have any problem with God's Justice and Texas Justice being done, since I'm sure it is professed that they are one and the same.

common application

I think we need a common application of the law in this case.

As soon as they find him, the officer draws his pistol and starts screaming at him to get down, slams him on his face, jams a
knee in his back, cuffs him and leaves him sitting on the ground while everyone laughs and socializes around him. Then raise his arms up behind him and frog march him, in front of his friends and family hopefully, into the back of the cruiser.

This is how criminals are commonly treated here. It does wonders for attitude correction, which this arrogant prick is obviously in need of.

Of course, if we got REALLY lucky then Cheney had him killed so he couldn't testify and left enough of a trail to get him too.

Back in the 1940's a group civil rights leaders met with FDR to "do something in reltionship to the civil rights issue in the US.FDR agreed with these leaders but stated ,I parphrase "Yes,buy you have to make me."Seems perhaps easy to criticize however in the world of politics one must be pragmatic.True the world & it media was different but the country was not ready. And that was behind the messsage. So far, despite sagging ratings for Bush, the people are not DEMANDING a thing , not in the numbers needed. We have had some demonstrations against the war. The people understand that word. But with the medi as is ,such as T.V. Fair & Balanced & talking heads on the right the message that pushes all is fair, the people don't see it . Mny of us do, but the wide-spread exposure is not there therefore anyone associated with this Administrtion is able to walk & thumb his or her nose at the Senate & Congress many offices filled with lackey's who in roles of responsibility do nothing, hold no accountable & if little is reported the people truly in large do not see it.How do we get loud enough to get over the voice of Limbaugh laughing at the first Amdendment by essentially calling for disruption in Denver. To most of us we know he too is thumbing his as they all laugh at our constitution except Amendment #2. Until someone a group & hopeful peaceful group cn get the people to see these idealoques are laughing at not just the officials but at the people themselves there will be no citizen movement. If the people realize it is not only bout votes but votes using felonies ssumptions they are being laughed at as well, this will continue. And courage to start this prccess must come from honest government & more wareness by the people that the true Ameican way of life is being dismantled. If the people awaken & understand ALL of our Amendments are important & American as much as the second things will start to change.FDR was right & pragmatic.Ultimately & not easily things changed.the Senate & Congress & tough new leadership finally created major changes in civil rights. It needs to start too. Some media we have!!!!! Courage needs to wake up.Call it liberal conservative I don't care ...except it really must not just be called truth it must be the TRUTH.TRUTH NOW IS WE THE PEOPLE ARE BEING DUPED,LAUGHED AT,NOSES BEING SNUBBED AT THE CONSTITUTION SHREDDED & I THEY fEEL TROUBLE They try FEAR & scream terrorists.I think we need to relook at those words.NOW, what is the source. SCARE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ENOUGH they run only to the 2nd Amendmendment. And backers generally following it buy FEAR.Which citizens are ready to show we are losing our country. It'll be a tough fight & patriotism be wrongly used. Are enough people commited to take the entire document to the people & do some awakening? I hope so but I don't know.Mary Basombrio

This is what Rep. Sanchez said yesterday at the "hearing" -- which they conducted anyway, with an empty chair where Rove's fat ass should have been -- about his claiming "executive privilege"...

"First, the claims have not been properly asserted here. The Subcommittee has not received a written statement directly from the President, let alone anyone at the White House on the President’s behalf, asserting Executive Privilege, or claiming that Mr. Rove is immune in this instance from testifying before us. Nor is any member of the White House here today to raise those claims on behalf of the President. The most recent letter from Mr. Rove’s lawyer simply relies on a July 9, 2008 letter to him from the current White House counsel directing that Mr. Rove should disobey the subpoena and refuse to appear at this hearing."

The July 9, 2008 letter from White House Counsel Fred Fielding claims that Mr. Rove "...is constitutionally immune from compelled congressional testimony about matters that arose during his or her tenure as a presidential aide and that relate to his or her official duties."

So... trying to railroad Gov. Siegelman in Alabama was part of Rove's "official duties" at the White House, huh?

This is getting better every day.

Herr Karlheinz Rove ought to avoid Holland in particular in his travels, especially now that Noam Chomsky has called the invasion of Iraq the first of many war crimes. He ought to be a persona non grata in almost any country he visits. I think Congress is wasting its time. What they really ought to do is exercise extraordinary rendition and fly the no good bastard to Afghanistan, letting him parachute into a tribe of Taliban.

Breaking News: WMD, Rove found hiding together
Posted by: batteredup on Jul 12, 2008 2:01 PM
Current rating: 5    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
Breaking News from HoaxNews Network ...
Baghdad (HNN) - Both the answer to the missing WMD and the whereabouts of fugitive from justice Karl Rove appear to be solved.
Rove, former chief puppeteer to US Presidential hood ornament George W. Bushman, was found today by Palau's entire regiment in Iraq - the one-man army of Pfc. Crpl. Sgt.Lt.General U Phlnx.
Phlnx, the 86-year old blind, deaf and dumb all-purpose soldier, discovered Rove in the spiderhole formerly occupied by Saddam Hussein 30 km south, north, west and east of Baghdad. Oddly, these navigational points match exactly to those given by former Defense Secy. Donald Duck Rumsfeld in reference to the location of Saddam's mysterious WMD's. This last fact led to a clever revelation by Dept. of anti-Counter-intellegence spook Joe Faux that Rove is the missing WMD - his given monicker for
"W's Master of Disaster."
Witnesses to the event told the press that Phlnx also discovered Osama bin Laden in the same hole, but the fugitive terrorist was whisked away by US military officials and flown out of the country.
When reporters attempted to question the witnesses later it was learned they were really lying terrorists, probably from Iran, and were all executed by the heroic swat team from Blackwater.
It is believed Rove will finally testify about many of the crimes he and administration committed, but only in the basement of his home at an undisclosed location, off the record and for complete immunity. Only Fox News reporters and Rush Limbaugh,
the most trusted names in propaganda will be present.
He will also be paid $50 million in cash and be given his own personal island at a location of his choice with a full staff of servants, headed by Joe Lieberman.
Barack Obama declined to be the head waiter, but thanked him for the offer. Obama said his nomination has led to an increased number of committments to lobbyists and corporate campaign financeers and he will not even have time to listen to voters, his workload is so heavy.
