After watching the appalling dismissal of what Dennis Kucinich brought to the Presidential race (honesty, fearlessness, uncomfortable truths) in the Slate trivia-fest (above in alternet/blogs/video/bullshit), it's damn near heartbreaking to watch this video.

People may raise the usual points about the "tact" or "timeliness" of Kucinich's most recent attempt to bring articles against our pResident. If you look back at the various approaches to this absolutely necessary action, the running argument has been that it's never the "right" time; First, we didn't have the numbers in Congress. Then, we'd just taken the numbers, but were told our new majority didn't want to rock the boat too hard, right off the bat. Now, it will be argued that it's too late in the game to appear "seemly", that now it would appear to be grandstanding, or in bad taste.

Phrase it however one wishes, but the end translation is always, "we didn't have the balls, we don't have the balls, we won't have the balls". & if you have the balls, we'll do our level best to marginalize & ridicule you.

Firefighters don't discuss the viability, popularity, or potential political repercussions of putting out a raging fire, they fucking put out the goddamn fire.

Why I voted for Kucinich in the Rigged MI Prim, and Why it was rigged

the Clinton Machine and their Co conspirators in the MI Dem Party rigged that Primary from start to finish. My ballot inexpliciably had Kucinich as the top Spot- No doubt the Pre Programmed SCAMtron expected taht spot to be Hillarys and thus counted it as such. Not to mention th evoter suppression technique used by the Media to encourage voters not supporting Hillary to Not bother Going to vote since she was the 'Only Dem on the Ballot'Of course th eRepugs pulled their own slight of hand with Ron Paul- most Red banners in this State are For Ron Paul- No tMac Nor even Mit- the So called 'Home Twon Boy' - We hated his Dad and we hate Mit too!
The Media's already trying to set the Stage for the 'Steal' in Nov, claiming MI is 'up for Grabs' are they stupid- we a true Blue,Bleed Union State- mac hasn't got a chance!Neither did Hillary if they hadn't tricked the others. Oh many of our 'Leading' Dems will not only be out of office- but facing charges of Election Rigging- esp Hillary's Cohort on the Armed Service Com (Con) Sen Levin, and probably his Brother Too- who have assisted in the Downing of our state for Decades! Carl this True Blue Dem is out to hold You Personally resposnible for a number of crimes YOU have committed against this State and ultimatley the Country. Michigan is not part of the 'Rust Belt' We are the Buckle. We will handle Sen Levin- hope a number of other states handle their Traitors in blue Too (and Needless to say the Red ones)
Hell Haveth NO Fury like an Ol' Dems & patriots Scorn!

I watched this last night on CSPAN. I can only hope that the people chosen to represent us actually act in our interest and follow through with this impeachment. I will be the first to take the piss out of Clinton (after all he was a sheisty two bit drug dealer thug) If he can be impeached for telling lies under oath. Then by that rationale, we should have seen GWB and his cabinet dragged off and disposed of by now.

...deciding on whether or not to vote for any Democratic congressional candidates. If Bush and/or Cheney were impeached before the election, I definitely would take the Democrats more seriously and support their candidates.

Unfortunately, Kucinich has no more or less influence in the Democratic party than Ron Paul does in the GOP, so I think this will be a fruitless gesture.

With Cheney THIS VERY week, amping up the EXACT SAME RUSE with Iran, we cannot let them get away with this again. If anything, these impeachment articles should at least put G DUB & Co on notice, that their lies and manipulations must cease. I support impeachment fully, TODAY! Gotta go and make some calls!

The futility of the act is unimportant. The important thing is that Kucinich read the entire document on the floor of Congress. Future generations can look back and see proof that not all Americans supported the fascist regime of George W. Bush. Cliche or not, for the first time in a very long time I felt an inkling of pride - that perhaps America is not dead, buried, and forgotten.

WE THE PEOPLE CAN MAKE IMPEACHMENT HAPPEN

There is a complete media blackout about this critically-important event, so please pass the info on through your various networks.

Here's a video of Kucinich beginning his presentation on the floor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDZ8seg4Nr4

Download C-SPAN's transcript to see the individual articles and justifications: http://www.c-span.org/pdf/bush_impeach.pdf

Kucinich's office sent an email this afternoon alerting people that the http://www.kucinich.us website was "suspiciously" crippled early this morning, a few hours after introducing the Articles of Impeachment. Until they can restore the website and implement additional security measures, you can find the full list and detailed Articles at http://www.democrats.com/files/amomentoftruth.pdf and http://chun.afterdowningstreet.org/amomentoftruth.pdf

Show your support for Kucinich's efforts at http://www.myinfo.kucinich.us

Email the U.S. House Representatives to send your support for Impeachment at http://www.democrats.com/35-articles-of-impeachment. If you live in the U.S., call your Representative, ask for them at the Capitol Switchboard: 1-800-965-4701 or 202-224-3121 and call John Conyers of the Judiciary Committee, Steny Hoyer and Nancy Pelosi and demand that they do their jobs.
IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO HOLD THOSE CRIMINALS BUSH AND CHENEY ACCOUNTABLE AND TO PROTECT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION!

If Bush, Cheney and other high-ranking officials are not brought to justice before the November 2008 election, they will never be held accountable for their crimes. They will have gotten away with murder.

Extensive documentation to accompany each article will be posted later today. Watch these websites:

The secret to the Kucinich marriage

Why would an intelligent young woman with the looks of a runway model fall in love with a much older man? Because he's a REAL man. It doesn't get any sexier than that. He's obviously packin' heat.

But why stop at impeachment? The policies and actions taken on the citizens of this country and the world at large by Bush and his team of disgraced cronies are acts of treason.

Cheney MUST be impeached first, otherwise we'll have President Cheney. Is that what we want?? Haven't you heard of "succession?"

Bush will easily be uprooted once Cheney is impeached. Start with him and the rest will fall easily. He's the "brain" behind Bush.
