Bill O'Reilly's Foxy Lady

You can argue with Bill O'Reilly about a lot of things. But the Fox Newsman got something right Wednesday night.

"(The) media in America," O'Reilly explained, "has become very corrupt, partisan."

No viewer of O'Reilly's program could possibly disagree.

Watching him get cozy with Hillary Clinton, his guest on Wednesday night, was one of the creepier moments in the creepy history of Fox's experiment in partisan broadcasting. And the pursuit of their mutual agenda -- discrediting Clinton's rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, Barack Obama -- confirmed the the full extent of the corruption that results when a political campaign and a broadcast outlet start working together.

O'Reilly and Clinton tag-teamed Obama on the only issue that Fox covers these days: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright

O'Reilly pitched the softball: "Can you believe this Rev. Wright guy? Can you believe this guy?"

Clinton replied: "Well, I'm going to leave it up to voters to decide."

O'Reilly: "Well, what do you think as an American?"

Clinton: "Well, what I said when I was asked directly is that I would not have stayed in the church.

O'Reilly: "You're an American citizen, I'm an American citizen, He's an American citizen, Rev. Wright. What do you think when you hear a fellow American citizen say that kind of stuff about America."

Clinton: "Well, I take offense. I think it's offensive and outrageous. And, you know, I'm going to express my opinion, others can express theirs. But, you know, it is -- it is part of, you know, just an atmosphere that we're in today where all kinds of things are being said."

Clinton is Fox offended.

Clinton is Fox outraged.

Clinton may never be the Democratic nominee for president.

But she's got the makings of a Fox New analyst: corrupt, partisan and ready to play ball with Bill O'Reilly.

I just posted this elsewhere on Alternet.

Those in the liberal blogosphere made a pretty big deal about Obama appearing on Fox. Now Hillary has appeared on O'Reilly, of all places, and I have read very little about this anywhere.
Chris Wallace put Obama on the defensive about Obama personally --That interview wasn't as much about hurting Hillary. While Hillary is using her interviews as a way to again bash Obama. I would like to see Hillary on the defensive to at least the same extent that Obama was on the defensive in his interview. But since Hillary's primary mission is to stop Obama from being president, even if this means getting a Republican elected to the White House, then I expect Fox to only help her along in that regard. (Remember, Murdoch gave Hillary a big donation. And Ann Coulter endorsed Hillary over McCain -- because Hillary is supposedly more pro-torture than McCain, or at least according to Coulter.)

Now that Super Delegates Matter Even More…

LobbyDelegates.com Lets Ordinary Voices Be Heard

The unconstrained votes of some 800 top Democratic Party officials, known as Super Delegates, now matter even more following the Pennsylvania Primary, which continued to leave both Presidential candidates short of the 2,024 primary-pledged delegates needed to secure the nomination.

Those believing these Party insiders (who include governors, mayors, state and Congressional lawmakers) should be more accountable to rank-and-file Democrats, can now have their voices heard through www.LobbyDelegates.com. This one-stop portal is the first and only one empowering grassroots Democrats to directly communicate with their state’s Super Delegates – via email, fax or postal letters.

LobbyDelegates.com maintains lists of Super Delegates who have endorsed Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama or are still uncommitted. Users can, with one click, target all uncommitted Super Delegates and urge them to publicly endorse a certain candidate, or remain uncommitted. Users can similarly lobby Super Delegates to keep an existing commitment, or switch to the other candidate.

Although Sen. Obama leads with 1,490 pledged delegates to 1,336 for Sen. Clinton, neither would attain 2,024 even if one or the other won two-thirds of the remaining primary delegates. While Clinton leads among Super Delegates, 259 to 235, Obama has narrowed this gap steadily over the past six weeks. Over 300 Super Delegates remain uncommitted.

The LobbyDelegates.com website is strictly independent, and is not aligned with any political party, candidate, campaign or advocacy group. LobbyDelegates.com was created as a public service under the auspices of the nonprofit StateDemocracy Foundation, whose similar civic engagement website, www.StateDemocracy.com, is dedicated to delivering democracy to your desktop by connecting citizens and lawmakers.

Thousands have visited LobbyDelegates.com since it was launched on April 3. Since then, the website has been upgraded by adding a blog, the ability to invite friends, and free email delivery.

Non news on Fox and most of the rest of the Media

This is the type of information the Media should be discussing:

Scowcroft, a former national security adviser said he agrees with the position, stated by Sen. Barack Obama, that the U.S. would benefit from having direct talks with the leaders of its most distrusted adversaries.,"Absolutely," said Scowcroft, when asked by whether he thought the next president should meet with the likes of Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. "It's hard to make things better if you don't talk. Scowcroft is a former Air Force general who is widely considered to be one of the preeminent foreign policy minds in the United States.

in contrast

Iran has complained to the UN about Hillary's remark that in retaliation to an attack on Israel she would obliterate Iran. She is rattling sabers -- a strategy of belligerent non-communication with key world players. We have seen for eight years how that has worked.

Mr. Nichols,
Didn't Barack Obama appear with Bill O'Reilly? If Hillary was tainted by appearing with the Fox mouthpiece, wasn't Obama?
Isn't it an exaggeration to say that Hillary was "bashing'' Obama? She gave her opinion on the Rev. Wright fiasco. To my knowledge, she said nothing on O'Reilly's show that she hadn't said earlier.
So she agreed with O'Reilly on one issue. I didn't see the entire appearance, but I doubt that Hillary agreed with O'Reilly on everything he said, on all his points of view.
I'm a Nation admirer--usually. In this brief piece, however, I smell a rat--the rat of sexism, the old double standard that women have to deal with so often in our society.
In fact, I sense more sexism than racism in the Hillary-Barack campaign for the nomination coming from much of the media.
As a 40-year journalist, now retired, I believe the media coverage has been weak and STRONGLY biased against Hillary. My theory is that it's easier for the majority in the media (98 per cent MALE) to bash a woman than a black man. I don't think America's (and the media's) "collective white guilt'' is the reason that Obama for the longest time got a free ride from the media. Thank goodness for "Saturday Night Live'' with its perceptive, hilarious spoof of the obvious special treatment Obama was receiving. Things changed--if only slightly--after that program.
I'm amazed at the naivete of the media--even Nation folks--who truly believe that Obama is a "different kind of politician.'' Bit by bit, almost by default, we are learning that he's quite simply just another politician, albeit one with limited experience.
I'm dumbfounded that the media and "college educated'' voters are swallowing this "unite the country'' line. Has anyone checked with the Republicans lately on how anxious they are to "unite the country''? How childish this is. Bill Clinton was right when he called it a "fairy tale.''
Nominate Obama and the Dems will lose their third straight presidential election--despite running against one of the most flawed candidates in history in Mr. McCain.
The expression, "Nobody could be worse than Bush''? I'm not so sure about that.
I urge the Nationa, Ariana Huffington, and the "good ol' boys club'' to try just for awhile to forget that Hillary Clinton is a woman and judge her for her knowledge, experience (YOU live with a president for 8 years and tell me you haven't learned anything about running the country!), her passion to help people and a country in need, and last, but not the bit least, her work ethic. My God, she has worked her butt off!!!! Can you GUYS at least give her that?!

What is the adage?
Birds of a feather flock together.
O'Reilly and O'Hillary are a pair of carrion eating "flockers" so disgusting as to cause even buzzards to puke.
O'Hillary's presence on O'Reilly's program does verbally for O'Reilly what Lewinsky did physically for Billy's "willy".
Has Hillary become so desperate that she has to stoop to seeking the support of the the dim, depraved, and deluded.
