Hagee Claims He Has Gay Friends, But Don't Ask Him Who They Are

Posted by Pam Spaulding, Pam's House Blend at 2:45 PM on March 25, 2008.

He must have the imaginary self-loathing, potentially balcony jumping gay buds these bigots always refer to whenever they are asked that question.
McCain Defends Hagee

The NYT's Deborah Solomon interviewed anti-gay, Catholic-bashing, Armegeddon-worshipping, John McCain-endorsing megachurch pastor John Hagee. He was asked about his rant about gays bringing hellfire to New Orleans via Katrina.

All hurricanes are acts of God, because God controls the heavens. I believe that New Orleans had a level of sin that was offensive to God, and they are - were recipients of the judgment of God for that. The newspaper carried the story in our local area that was not carried nationally that there was to be a homosexual parade there on the Monday that the Katrina came. And the promise of that parade was that it was going to reach a level of sexuality never demonstrated before in any of the other Gay Pride parades. So I believe that the judgment of God is a very real thing."
This is what he said about the above in the interview.
Let's talk about your much-quoted comment that Hurricane Katrina was God's punishment for a gay rights parade in New Orleans . We're not going down there. That's so far off-base it would take us 33 pages to go through that, and it's not worth going through.

I am not eager to rehash it either, although I wish that evangelicals were not so hard on gays. Our church is not hard against the gay people. Our church teaches what the Bible teaches, that it is not a righteous lifestyle. But of course we must love even sinners.

Do you have any gay friends? I don't want to say that I have any friends, because when you say, "Who are they?" I don't want them jumping off the balcony.
He must have those same imaginary self-loathing, potentially balcony jumping gay buds these bigots always refer to whenever they are asked that question.

View McCain's pathetic defense of Hagee to moral gambling man Bill Bennett to your right.

Maybe Hagee HIMSELF drives on the British side of the road, if you know what I mean. (Not that there is anything wrong with that.)
;)

Seriously though, why don't we hear CONSTANTLY in the media, like we hear about Rev Wright, about Hagee and his nutty views? (He wants the world to end, folks. That is far worse than anything Wright has said.)
Keep in mind that John McCain has ACTIVELY SOUGHT OUT Hagee's endorsement. And Hagee supposedly gives John McCain advice.
Now, THAT is scary!

And you think God is mad NOW!? Just wait until America elects John McCain! Then we all will be doomed by God's wrath!
(IF there is a God, that is.)

Oh come on. You really think Larry Craig is gonna jump of the balcony?

And of course Hagee is friends with Haggard. I bet they've been down on their knees together many times.

It runs in the family.

Why just yesterday, I was wondering if I did a little "Five against one" in the privacy of my own home, would a plague of locusts descend upon my domicile and eat my new gay curtains.

Now I know.

God has google maps, and dispatches unpleasantness to the wicked.

I guess it's back to aggressive "cleansing" in the shower.

Hagee What about San Francisco

Well if we are all sinners and debauchers why hasn't god rained down fire and brimestone on San Fancisco. Wouldn't take much of a quake to wipe out that entire city. Or better yet why hasn't he razed the middle east. After all the US government tells me those countries are the axis of evil and their people kill other innocent people in the name of religion. And again there are thousands of gays and lesbians, just like myself, who have gone and fought in your bloody war on terror. What do you have to say about that Hagee? Should the US forces in the middle east be struck down by the hand of GOD, just because some of us are gay or lesbian and doing it behind closed tent flaps?
Double standard A^^H*&^!

Why not express your true feelings? Bill O'Reilly did last night on his show. He was chatting with Dennis Miller, and as they were talking about some Festival that was held on Easter in San Francisco (Hunky Jesus or something), he mentions to Dennis, "Wouldn't you just like them to turn into a pillar of salt?" Of course, he is referencing the Sodom & Gomorrah parable from the Jewish bible. I'd like to see how he is going to weasel his way out of this one.

Unlike Hagar who is funny Hagee is anything but! . You have to love the fact he refuses to discuss the matter . It would take too long . Yes imagine the truth is DID you say THIS . The answer is EITHER YES or NO . Not 33 pages of BS a simple one word answer PERIOD.
Hagee is just another so called Christian who obviously hasn't figured out that HE will be among the Goats at the last Judgement .
Unfortunately he is a truly DANGEROUS man who desires to bring on Armageddon with the help of McCain . Of course HE expects to raptured out of harms way BEFORE the missiles fly and the World is Incinerated . I wonder if McCain's BBF and probable VP nominee Holy Joe realizes that Hagee's support for Israel is ONLY to enable the Apocolypse and that those Jews who do NOT convert are to be EXTERMINATED
My other gripe is that so many Blue Collar Reagan Democrats either don't realize or don't care that Hagee has referred to THEIR Church as the Whore of Babylon . They get incensed at Rev Wright who basically echoed exactly what Pat Robertson and Gerry Falwell said about 911. That being that it WAS America's fault and Punishment for our actions . Of course Obama has said he disgrees with his Pastor and rejects those views . Meanwhile McCain has no problem with Hagee or ANY of the SAME people he once identified as agents of Intolerence.

Why hasn't mainstream America and mainstream media ask McCain to denounce Hagee and distance himself from him?

Hagee And New Orleans

As a New Orleans resident both before and after Katrina I would like to set the record straight about the "gay parade". First off, he must be referring to Southern Decadence which is celebrated in New Orleans on Labor Day Weekend of each year. Since Katrina struck on August 29th, a full week before Labor Day Weekend, no "parade" was scheduled when Katrina struck. It was scheduled for a full week after the disaster. It isn't a "gay pride parade" in the traditional sense. It is sort of like a "gay Mardi Gras" and hundreds of thousands of gay tourists flock to New Orleans to participate in it. And the neighborhood where all the festivities are held is the French Quarter which did not flood at all during the storm. So if "God wanted to punish New Orleans for a 'gay parade'" he certainly would have struck at the part of the city where the parade was to be held. Wouldn't you think? Or course reason and logic are lost on the hate monger Religious Right spokespeople, aren't they?

...and a whore for Jesus, make no mistake about it. Of course we had two Republican candidates that were pimps for Jesus too, but that is another story.

Of course the "Catholic Church is a whore.." remark was way out of line but the other facts about the evil of this church still remain.

It is too bad, because we should never forget the evil that any religion has done in the name of their Invisible friends, and Hagee's bigotry serves to mask some of the truth he spoke.

This and the many other hypocrisy's of McSame will be forgotten by the good Catholics as they go into the voting booth this time.

Don't forget how they ate one of their OWN last time (Kerry)in the interest of who knows? Probably some more evil that we cannot foresee at this time.
