MSNBC Replaces Tucker Carlson with Karl Rove's Dancing Partner David Gregory

Doesn't anyone at MSNBC have Rachel Maddow's agent on speed dial? Can't you do better?

Really, MSNBC? Really?

David Gregory is the journalist you've chosen to take over Tucker Carlson's slot at the network, just as Karl Rove's role in the Don Siegelman prosecution comes clear for America? Just as the House of Representatives moves to sue Harriet Miers and Josh Bolten for civil contempt in the USAttorney firings? Just as Karl Rove joins the Double Talk Express as an adviser?

Yup.

MSNBC said this afternoon that it was canceling "Tucker," the low-rated, early evening program led by Tucker Carlson, and replacing it with a new, politically oriented program featuring David Gregory, chief White House correspondent of NBC News.

I suppose we have to be happy with three steps forward (firing Tucker) and two steps back (replacing him with David Gregory). Oh, wait --

MSNBC also said that Andrea Mitchell, a veteran political correspondent for both the cable channel and NBC News, would lead another new campaign-oriented program, this one to be shown beginning at 1 p.m. weekdays.

Another really smart move, showcasing Mrs Greenspan just as the American economy falls down to its knees around the housing bubble stoked by her own husband's Fed policies.

Doesn't anyone at MSNBC have Rachel Maddow's agent on speed dial? Is David Shuster still in the "Chelsea pimp" doghouse? David Gregory and Andrea Mitchell bring with them their own taint of current newsmaker.

Can't you do better?

Sarah Palin is a milestone, for we achieve true gender equality when an incompetent woman goes as far as an incompetent man.

I don't know what the problem is you have with Gregory? That dance with Rove was improvised at a White House Correspondent's dinner, I sure won't hold one dance with Rove against David, lol! I have been watching him for years hoping MSNBC would give him a time slot. In fact I have phoned MSNBC several times encouraging them to do just that.

Gregory's aggressive 'interragations' as the White House correspondent were often quite heated. Gregory pushed the envelope further than any other White House correspodent.

Besides that Gregory just seems like a really good guy, and very intelligent. He can be very serious but funny too. Another thing I REALLY like about him is that he does not make himself the center of attention when he does interviews. With Scarbourough and Tucker it is more about THEM, what they think, THEIR opinions, and loving controversy and hot buttons, gotcha moments, instead of getting a good interview.

Gregory has a fabulous sense of humor, and he is a very good dancer! lol.....

Good! I am glad David will have his own show. That is great, I am happy. He is absolutely without a doubt a tremendous improvement over Tucker, in fact there is no comparison whatsoever. I consider David Gregory a serious and professional news correspondent, he will do a good job, we need him.

WOMEN FOR OBAMA, YES WE CAN

One inane skidmark on the fabric of history down, five or six to go.

The article seems to imply that there's something wrong with David Gregory, and there isn't. As a reporter he's had guts in the White House Press room. He was one of the only reporters who raised his voice and kept asking the annoying questions.

he's the guy who slit Kucinich's throat,
making a commercial decision about who the public wants to hear

I liked Chris Matthews in Hardball.
Actually Tucker wasn't too bad.

But I've boycotted MSNBC, along with Fox and ABC, after MSNBC's arrogant manipulation of the debates.

How about reforming the mass media?
Reinstate the "Fairness Doctrine."

deserves a show of her own on MSNBC. However, doesn't everyone know WHY she isn't going to get one?

It's because NBC is run by the a bunch of bigoted old white Republicans just like every other MSM entity.
